Nice resort in a good location

Just returned from a week at Best Western Jaco Beach. For us, we had a 1 bedroom timeshare room, which is actually two adjoining hotel rooms. Each room had 2 full size beds and a bathroom. One side had a small refrigerator and microwave. Safe in each room and a wall unit air conditioner. Walk out balcony that you could sit outside. Our view was the adjacent condo building, which was quiet all day. You can see the ocean from the balcony, but the room isn't facing the ocean.
The resort is very nice for Costa Rica standards, which is to say it's simple and more rustic than what you'd have at a nice 4 star Mexican resort. The property is well maintained with space to sit around the open air lobby, bar area, pool, lawn and other bar which is in a separate building closer to the beach and swimming pool. The beach area is quite large and has a lifeguard on duty much of the time. (All Jaco beach is public, so there are some lifeguard stands along the beach). The sand is very firm, so it's easy to take a walk with shoes on. There's some current there, so for actual swimming in the ocean, it is gentler a couple hundred yards south along the beach.
Not much in terms of organized activities at the hotel and it's rather quiet at night. (Note we were here during COVID, so with travel restrictions worldwide, the occupancy was low during our stay). We found the staff to be very good. They were friendly and helpful. Property seemed well maintained.
We did opt in for the All Inclusive food option. The price is a good value, and the food choices are a daily spread of a variety of foods. That said, the spread of offerings does not change all that much on a daily basis, so we got a little tired of the food. Costa Rican food is pretty basic anyway. There is beef, chicken and fish, as well as vegetarian options available daily.
It was a very good experience here, and met my expectations of a Costa Rica resort. I would recommend this place and would stay here again myself if I return to Jaco Beach again in the future.
good family visit

Went there with my wife and daughter. We enjoyed the place, rooms are decent, food is actually good (surprised me a bit), hotel is about 700 meters from the center of Jaco so there is not a bunch of noise at night (as Jaco is a party town) Price is fair, I would stay there again.
First trip to Jaco

For my first trip to Jaco, I did not know what to expect. I booked the Best Western because it was all inclusive. However, due to COVID, it was a little different staying there, to many things shut down. Food was good, the room was not bad, did have an AC issue the night before we left and there were ants in the room. The property is well maintained, staff is very friendly and helpful.
Very Clean and Safe Resort in Jaco, Costa Rica

The hotel was extremely clean and safe. It was located within walking distance to the town of Jaco. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I would recommend this resort to all my family and friends. My husband and I will be back!
Awful food. Overpriced. No entertainment

Some of the worst food I’ve ever had. The eggs could’ve been made into car tires, they were so rubbery. The room was medium clean. Security guards were on a power trip. There were too many rules for a vacation destination. They didn’t even let one of our friends pop in for a shower in the middle of the day. The place was quite small for an all inclusive. There was little entertainment. We basically used it as a hotel to sleep in. And on top of everything it was super expensive for what you were getting. So many better options out there.
