DO NOT STAY HERE.

The price is not the most expensive in 2-star hotels. but the service/condition/environment is almost the worst.
*I booked a 100% smoke free room. but the smoke smell is so strong that I have to sleep with window opened all night long.
*The bed sheet is VERY dirty I've NEVER seen a sheet in any hotel before. It looks like a crumpled toilet paper. I don't expect a new one, but at least, it should be clean. and there're many stab holes on it. I used my own sheet.
*No parking indicator but there's a sign of 'no responsible for loss or damage of your vehicle'.
*All hallways with trash on the floor. You won't believe someone clean it.
*The hotel locates very close to a highway. You feel you stay near a busy military airport.
*Even you entered all your credit card info to complete your online booking, they still ask you show your credit card and sweep it in person. If so, why did require it online.
*There's a computer chair in the room. but if you sit in it, be careful your back. because the chairs back is broken. I almost fell down to the floor.
*It's enough to spend my time on this hotel. it's not worth to pay one more second, one penny on it.
REMEMBER: NEVER EVER STAY HERE!!!
Not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but....

Not very many positives about this hotel. There were no cockroaches or mold in our room. The front desk person was friendly and nice. She even came to our room to fix the TV. TV worked for about 10 minutes and then quit. People stood out in the very narrow hallway yelling for most of the night. We didn’t need it, there was no phone so if we had wanted to call the front desk to fix the TV again, we couldn’t. The bed was okay, it it was so loud it was hard to sleep (even with ear plugs).
DO NOT STAY HERE!

I’ve stayed in a lot of Super 8 motels over the years. I’ve never stayed in any hotel as poorly kept as this. Outlets are literally falling out of the walls. Broken outlet covers and light switch plates. Smoke detector wires hanging from a hole in the ceiling. And filthy hand towels. Never again here

Sketchy area, felt very unsafe. Paper thin walls. I only stayed 30 minutes and left visibly shaking. The rooms need a good deep clean and the layout is horrible. The halls are so narrow it would be impossible to walk down them with your bags and pass someone.

The staff was very nice and courteous! End of the best part of the property. First, the photos on their website were probably taken right after the property was built, but it was over 25 years ago. The property is only painted the same color outside - but the worn carpet - probably the original - is still present inside, and the lobby no longer has such uncluttered and clean look. At the low price, I wasn’t looking for a pure travel lodging pleasure. It’s economical. I understand that, and knew that it wouldn’t be perfect. But, here’s the inexcusable: the non-smoking property reeked of cigarette smoke on the third floor, emanating from under the door of one of the rooms and filling the hallway. There was a crazy loud yelling couple that was in that room. Really loud screaming lady. Every time you walked past. There was in-room coffee present! It would have been nice if the coffee maker was there too!! The curtains were drooping... not only because they were old, but because the cheap hooks that could easily have been replaced were not present, so there was a large gap in the top where they were not attached to the rod. The toilet seat was so loose that it was essentially worthless. The carousel on the microwave is missing the carousel ring, and won’t turn. It would seem there’s no maintenance here. At all. And no monitoring of smokers. At all. Three stories and no elevator. Bit tough. Doable though. Two stories is easily navigable with heavy luggage, but three is a pain. OK. If only the room would have been worth the climb... TV is large, but the remote sensor on mine was dangling and not set to pick up the remote signal. The fridge works (if you don’t want to make ice...) The pillow top bed was decent. The ill-fitting top sheet kept popping off at corners. Lots of room for that cushy chair in the corner (in the photos) but I guess it’s wherever the coffee maker is. They both eloped from the room altogether. Shower and tub was clean an worked well. New shower curtain and rod! Limp and lifeless towels. Breakfast is decent. I’d skip any breakfast offered for a cleaner, complete, maintained, fully functional room though. Loud noises woke me up my first night of the 3 night stay. Loud bumping (that could be felt) in the hallway. I had to check out after the 2nd night. Did not want to stay here any more. The third I threw away as a wash. There are better options at lesser prices (went to one close by. Better price. Cleaner. Better maintained). For a just little bit more, I discovered there are far better places here in Joplin. Choose them instead. Super 8 looks like a bargain at first, but it is not even worth half the published prices. Not my room anyways. Not staying here for any of the rest of my business contract, and will warn all the other contractors I work with as well, and the travelers I know. This was an awful experience. One of the worst of Joplin right here...
