Manager is a theif and liar
Reviewed 20 August, 2020
My husband and I arrived around 1am to this motel and checked in. We were exhausted from a long drive and just wanted to sleep a few hours then take off. No big deal. We walked into the room and it smelled like we were at woodstock 1969, the smell of weed and pee was bad. We heard the clerk tell someone behind us that they were booked so we decided to suck it up and just sleep. During the night we kept hearing banging and doors slamming, but again we didn't complain. We woke up to find this huge spider on the side of our bed. Again, no complaints we were happy to sleep. We checked out at 9am-ish and I handed the keys to the manager and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. I left my phone in the car. Evidently the manager tried to call me to complain that the room smelled bad and he was charging me $250 and called me names. He called a second time and I saw the call come in so I answered the call.I tried to explain it was smelly when we arrived, he insisted we smoked (even though we don't)He told me to come back or he was calling police. I asked him to PLEASE file a police report so I could use that to dispute the charges. He refused. I was all the way to St Louis by this time, NO WAY I was turning around. This man is nasty, rude and a crook who charges you a $250 cleaning fee on a room that isn't worth a $40 nightly charge. Avoid this place, and drive a little further to Kansas City or Salina.
Taking advantage of situation

Would have given a higher rating because this Quality Inn was very clean and well maintained, except for their ( lack of breakfast ). We were checked in efficiently by Tonya, and our room was clean with good linens, good bed, great shower, large bathroom with large vanity inside.
On check in, Tonya informed us that the breakfast was grab and go, which we have had several mornings in our 2 Week trip. When we went down the next morning, there was NO coffee, and the attendant handed us a tiny bag with 1 - 4 oz yogurt and 1 - 4 oz orange juice, nothing else. We have been traveling for 14 days, and have had some decent grab and go breakfast, and always coffee in the mornings. We feel that this Quality Inn is taking advantage of a bad situation, and making it worse for the customers.
Probably the Best Quality Inn we’ve Visited

Immaculate throughout with very clean well appointed rooms this Quality Inn hit all the buttons. The TV cable has a ton of channels and the property is very quiet thanks to being about a 1/2 mile from the freeway. Close to a lot of the chain fast food joints makes this Inn a very good choice for hotels in the moderate range. Would definitely stop here again.
Love the halloween decor!

This was a good hotel which was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. One complaint was that the bathroom light was on the outside of the door and behind the door if it was open, which was quite inconvenient and strange.
Great Quality at Quality

We stay at many Quality and Comfort hotels. This one was one of the best made very special by Carl, the overnight host. He made our stay wonderful. He started breakfast early for us Eastcoasters who rise early in Kansas. The breakfast was excellent, the room clean, the staff very friendly, and the conversation with Carl extra special. We certainly would stay here again!
