What a fabulous place! Having just driven over the Pyrenees from Spain, Clos Mirabel made for the perfect stop-over before continuing our tour on to the Languedoc. It is a beautifully quiet and tranquil setting with outstanding views from the Terrace. We had a wonderful room over looking the Pyrenees and took the option of an evening meal which was lovely, cooked with produce from the garden. Extremely friendly and accommodating hosts. Highly recommended.

What a find! We only stayed one night on our way from France to Spain over the Pyrenees, and we wished it had been longer. Achingly beautiful place, location and views to the mountains. An exquisite 5-bedroom hotel with separate, excellent self-catering accommodation (where we stayed). Rachelle and Xavier, the owners, could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. I cannot recommend Clos Mirabel too highly!
Mountain views to die for

Fantastic location. Wonderful views of the Pyrenees from the south-facing terrace. Great breakfasts and dinners, using very fresh ingredients from the garden. For example, one evening our starter consisted of thinly sliced beetroot and red onion, feta cheese, balsamic vinegar, pine nuts. It was delicious.
A haven of tranquillity, hospitality and great food - highly recommended!

We spent a really enjoyable week at Clos Mirabel this August (having originally booked for 5 nights, we enjoyed it so much we extended our stay by 2 more nights). It was lovely to be just outside the city but very close to it with the Pyrenees so accessible. After forays into Pau or walks into the Pyrenees it was a real luxury to come back to the peace and quiet of Clos Mirabel. Most nights we ate in - the food was always amazing - deceptively simple but sophisticated highlighting the produce from Rachel and Xavier's vegetable garden and local wines, cheeses etc. Dinners were usually served on the terrace overlooking the amazing views of the Pyrenees in a very relaxed convival atmosphere.
We'd strongly recommend staying here and would love to come back again. The rooms are lovely - spacious and light filled and Xavier and Rachel very welcoming hosts. The pool, Cashmere the rabbit, the lovely grounds and the chance to meet other children also staying at the hotel were all a hit with our 12 year old.

We stayed here recently with friends. We didn't want the hassle off a city. Upon arrival,we were greeted by the owner Andre, a very nice gentleman. The house was beautiful, had wonderful views of the Pyrenees. The weather was very hot, the pool was delightful and the house had air conditioning. We had breakfast and dinner, breakfast was served by Rachel and dinner was made and served by Emily. The breakfast was beautiful, great coffee, and s range of fresh fruit, bread and cake. The dinner, WOW, both nights was delicious, there was no menu, just typical food from the region, most of the ingredients are from their garden. 1 off the morning's Rachel showed us around the garden, and the many fruit and vegetables they grow. After dinner you can go for a gentle stroll around the area. What a very welcoming family. We will definitely be back.
