The room was very spacious and clean. The bedding was super comfortable. The staff was friendly. Breakfast sucked. The usual fake eggs, hard biscuits, and rubber pancakes. It’s free, but that isn’t all that matters. Do yourself a favor and go to Denny’s down the street for breakfast.
Our favorite place to stay!

We personally like the location of this hotel, away from all the hubbub, but close enough to everything we need or want to do. We can enjoy a nice night out on The Plaza and go just 7 short miles to this quiet night’s stay. In a world of instant this and quick that, we like to just sit back and relax and enjoy here and not worry about the rat race always going on around us.
But, the main reason we keep going back is because the staff here is absolutely wonderful, no matter what shift you arrive on!! Feeling very welcomed and being well-accommodated to is something we don’t take lightly and we know that’s the standard we receive every time we visit this hotel.
There are comments about the hotel being outdated, etc. After having stayed here for the past 10 years, we haven’t ever gotten this sense. Yes, we like things simple & tasteful, not too over the top, and we also believe in the saying “If it ain’t broke, why fix it?” It’s like putting on the most comfy, beautiful sweater you’ve ever worn, that still serves its purpose and is just as vibrant today...AND has the same quality and value that makes it your favorite!
Most important to us, is if the place is clean, comfortable and cozy. All three of those things are ticked off our list here. We have not seen the standards of cleanliness fall at all, even if the decor isn’t right up to the state-of -the-art standards. Why do I we care if the artwork in the room is the next new fad in decor? It’s not like we’re talking everything is 90’s blonde oak and plastered with big, gaudy, pastel florals. To us, it is up-to-date more than a majority of the hotels you’d stay at for the same price. It is still contemporary and SUPER clean! We don’t have to contemplate over the actual value we get by staying here. It’s just common sense to us.
In fact, we were blown away this time, after not being able to visit in a while, that even though it has not been “upgraded” like others have incessantly been done, we’ve never felt a cleaner, cozier stay! Maybe there’s a reason others remodel so often...when it’s broken or dirty, it’s too easy to rip it all out and start over. Not here. Bathroom and towels squeaky clean; along with the floors and furniture in room; clean, bright parking lot and exterior, NO perfumes to mask the air; bed and sheets sooo comfy and fluffy; breakfast is always a favorite with such a nice variety and a wonderful space to wake up to and enjoy it.
If you do desire other offerings, there are numerous restaurants just a short mile or so down the road. I don’t know who said there wasn’t, but they must not have had GPS...they’re all right there! ;)
Thanks again HIE for giving us another relaxing stay to remember! Oh, and the Keurig k-cups offered in the room..,some of the best coffee we’ve had...inside or outside of a hotel! I’m looking to see if I can purchase some for home now, but if not, it’ll be just one more reason we visit again!!
Very nice, good value

Very good hotel. Friendly staff, quiet, large room , and your typical Holiday Inn breakfast- eggs, meats, breads, etc.
Rooms are a little bit dated but very clean. Looks like the bathrooms are newer.
If a you are using Google maps, put the address in and do not just use command to navigate there to the hotel. Twice Google took us to 2 different places miles from the hotel when we did that.
Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast

We considered this hotel one of our best on our trip so far. The room was clean, the amenities above average, and the breakfast options very good for a hotel of this type. We had no complaints.
Our only concern was that on check-in the management emphasized that there is a fee for potential damages, which we took as a warning that this hotel might attract out-of-control sports fans. We didn't take that as a very strong welcome.
