Nice manager and staff...

Reviewed 22 october, 2022

Valerie is the manager, she is very good, nice and friendly. Victoria is also very good and nice / funny. Zach is also good, as is Shawanda. The housekeeping, Doris, Maria (so sweet) and Danile, are outstanding, always very efficient, friendly and polite. The maintenance Gabier and Mohamad, are always working all day long making sure the garbage is taken out and everything is clean and everything is working. It is the best staff at any Hotel I've ever stayed at. If there is a problem, they'll definitely try to correct it. The only con...is the price, but that's not their fault, it's corporates.

terrible dirty hotel

Reviewed 5 october, 2021

terrible hotel. very dirty, cleaner appears once in a 2 weeks. Hotel allows to keep dogs in the rooms. Dogs scare clients by burking on them. we stay 2 weeks in the hotel and today we have brought heavy stuff in the hotel and asked reception for the luggage cart. Receptionist which as we found out later the same person as General manger (according with her badge) requested from us ID to take a luggage cart. When we have submitted her ID and came into hotel back with our stuff we have asked to return our ID back. she replied only when we will bring huge luggage cart on the reception she will give our ID back. We were not going to keep huge cart in our small room, she insisted that some people keeping luggage cart in their rooms . ABSURDLY! I am not recommend this dirty hotel with stupid Management to anyone!

DON'T RECOMMEND - POOR CLEANING POLICY & POOR STAFF ATTITUDE

Reviewed 15 july, 2021

The room was okay as per amenities and the provision of a few cooking utensils for use in the kitchenette. The Inn is also close to a Walmart and a number of eatries. However, below are the many areas for major improvement and why you should NOT stay here: 1. WI-FI SERVICE: their wi-fi service is choppy and often signs one out when in use. 2. NOISY AIR-CONDITIONER: the room air-conditioner was very noisy when in use. 3. PUBLIC AREA CLEANLINESS: the public trashcans on the Floor corridors were often overflowing with rubbish; there is a need for more frequent emptying of these so the corridors don't smell or look untidy at the ends where the trash cans are. 4. ROOM HYGIENE: Worst of all, the rooms always had a musty smell even with the use of the noisy room air conditioners. Their Policy of also not cleaning the rooms until after the 8th day of one's stay is unacceptable -especially in this period of a pandemic where hygienic habits are key (to get it cleaned earlier, one has to pay). Yet even after we had stayed for over 8 days, and therefore due for the standard room cleaning service, their Front Desk Manager Ms. Ailene refused to have our Room 321 cleaned, claiming they cleaned each Floor only on alternate weeks -and that the 2nd week of our stay was during the week our Floor was earmarked only for change of linen! NOTE that we checked in on Monday June 28, 2021 and until we checked out on Monday June 12, 2021, our room was not cleaned even once. 5. POOR STAFF ATTITUDE: A "Ms. Ailene", who identified herself as "The Manager" also called me on the room phone to harass me for asking the housekeeper when the room would be cleaned (which was to enable us be away from the room during cleaning), claiming that speaking to the housekeeper was "harassment". Additionally, I sent in an email compliant to their Management on Friday July 9, 2021 and while its receipt was auto-acknowledged, there has been no response to date (now July 15, 2021) - that does not show a business that values its customers feedback or that is interested in repeat business. And which is why we checked out on Monday July 12, 2021, instead of further extending our stay as we had planned to. We are now happily staying in another Inn where cleaning is daily, wi-fi is steady, the air conditioners work silently and everywhere smells fresh and clean.

DONT RECOMMEND

Reviewed 25 august, 2020

I would like to do a complaint on this hotel and racheal. I don’t like the way they handle or talk to us customers like we just wanna be in this hotel for nothing. We get no respect, we not even able to have our belongings laying around cus they might go through. Several rooms has meldew I spoke to others too. I confronted the front desk several times but nothing has been done. If I get sick bad I will be suing. Then they charging my card when I remember not putting it on file and without my authorization, nor did I get notice of the charge that happened. Another thing is they be over charging people with they rates and each time it’s going up for nothing several people went to a different hotel because they couldn’t tell them why and the way they treat customers. Room service has not been to my room to clean since ive been which been a month or more going on. I would recommend the to anybody fr

Can not get home, flooded streets

Reviewed 28 september, 2019

On September 20, 2019, the sky opened up and flooded most of the streets in metro Houston. Knowing I could not make it home, I obtained a room at the Candlewood Suites which is next door to my office in Katy, a suburb of Houston. The suite was nothing speshal as suites go. the problems started with the PTAC unit (air conditioner unit). When the PTAC unit turned on, it was so load, I could not heat the TV. The refrigerator in the room was not much better. Needless to say, I did not get much sleep that night. In the morning, I wasted a lot of water trying to obtain hot water for a shower. No hot water. The only good thing about my stay at the Candlewood Suites was the price; $84 plus tax.
