Great hotel, crap shuttle
We went with 24 north because they were an affordable option that was very nice. The staff is wonderful, the pool and bar service is amazing, and overall this has been a great experience. However.. we are down here during covid and while boarding the shuttle from the pickup location downtown my husband forgot to put his mask on. He had it in hand and is more than willing to wear it, he just simply forgot. I never EVER complain about places, if I don’t like it, I just don’t review it here. But the way this driver talked to my husband made me almost prefer to walk the 3.5 miles back to our hotel in 100 degree weather as have to ride on his bus. He told my husband he would have him arrested if he didn’t start remembering to put on his mask... umm, ok, it was an honest mistake. But as if that wasn’t rude enough he proceeded to lecture him about “us tourists not following the mandates” for 3-5 minutes. All he has to say was don’t forget the mask and it would have been just fine. The degrading remarks could have been left unsaid. AND he left at 4:29 for a 4:30 shuttle service that was booked full according to the hotel and only had us and 2 others on it. Hope the others left behind made it back to their rooms ok. But let me reiterate that the hotel itself is absolutely wonderful!!! Please stay here.. just don’t take the shuttle.
We live in Miami, given the covid restrictions we decided to start traveling more locally, our first road trip being to Keywest. We wanted a budget friendly hotel, that was clean and met our needs. This hotel did not disappoint. A bit of a wait to check into the room on a Sunday evening. Who knew i would be so packed. We got into the room a bit after 5pm. Clean accommodations, masks required. Folks for the most part were complaint. Loved having the shuttle into town, we used it once. We were fine with the location as there wasn't a need to be directly in town. Easy drive to the beaches, fort etc... Few folks were in the pool with enough social distance. We felt fairly secure during our stay. Overall the hotel met our needs, helpful staff, oh and very comfy bed.
Best Hotel. Great Service. Friendly staff and lots of amenities and courtesy in the hotel. Great breakfast and a wonderful pool. I would like to mention two people in the front desk which are the best staff I have seen. Professionalism and knowledge and they make you feel confortable and welcome every time. Saken and Angela I would definitely will come back because you guys make my time at Hilton awesome. See you soon.
2nd Visit....Still Impressed
Just stayed for our second visit in the past 12 months and we are still happy with 24 North. Rented the suite on this trip and enjoyed the additional room for our family. While some of the hotel's services are limited due to the pandemic, the entire staff did their best to accommodate us at all times. As with our last stay, we will certainly be back again in the future!
As i said before. Its not right for visitors to feel like not welcome . Your hotel night fee is not exactly a low one.(comparing to others) But even if it was.we didnt deserve that kind of cold and dispaching treatment. The room.the bar at the pool ,and hotel in general are in great condition.
