I read the reviews before booking and nearly didn’t book due to some bad reviews. However we always try and book a hotel with a pool etc. This hotel offers good sized rooms, a great pool area with easy access. The pool has a sauna , steam room, waterfall and jacuzzi jets built into the pool. The changing rooms are nice and clean. I would stay here again which is always a good bench mark. It is central and is literally around the corner from bars, places to eat and good local and branded shops. Not the cheapest but in our experience worth it
A pleasant hotel in the heart of historic Bath

We enjoy regular visits to Apex hotels as they offer good facilities in prime locations. They are generally clean and provide plenty of space to relax. We stayed in Bath last night and it was lovely to have a balcony room to enjoy the sunset from. Staff were pleasant, check in online saved time. I booked direct and we were supposed to be offered a voucher for use in the hotel but this wasn't given on this occasion, something we forgot to mention when we checked out.
We did mention the talcum powder bum print on the desk chair in the room. Pretty unpleasant especially as rooms are supposed to be cleaned to a high standard. I have found on numerous occasions that housekeeping in Apex Bath does let itself down. Things missing from the room or the room not quite as clean as it could be.
Shame really but they are a good brand in general.
Do not believe the bad reviews!! Travel with a open mind and be realistic.

Ignore the bad reviews!!
Great hotel with the service to go with it!! Great location!! And a great value hotel in the heart of Bath!!
As a well travelled couple and being very lucky to have been able to stay at some of the best hotels in world we was SO happy with the Apex Bath Hotel!! Why was we?
As we are very aware of what is going on in the UK at the moment (particularly within hospitality) with staff shortages partly due to COVID and Brexit, we are more forgiving with small detail (unlike others on this forum).
The welcome from the front desk was so amazing, a special mention about Laura (front desk manager) who was very friendly, knowledgable, welcoming and professional, a credit to the Apex! We went to our room (a deluxe room which was suite) which was very well appointed with great amenities. Sure, there was some cleanliness detail missed but on 2 mornings running we witnessed the gentlemen who cleaned the rooms, they were clearly working very hard and to the best of their ability and whilst being up against it like they was, it would be pretty rough to knock them. Again, breakfast was limited in choice but the service and food offered was a very good standard. Amruta at breakfast was EXCELLENT! Her service, friendliness and attention to detail was amazing. The swimming pool and steam/sauna facilities are also fantastic. The swimming/spa/gym area was always clean and never to full. Lovely Elemis products throughout the hotel which give an extra special touch to your stay.
To sum up,,yes, there where a couple of small issues, but nothing worth upsetting hard working people over and certainly nothing worth complaining about. Anyone thinking of going, ignore the unfair, pretentious and inconsiderate reviews on here. The team at the Apex are working their socks of for their guests. Look at what these hardworking people ARE doing, not what they are NOT doing. You will have a fantastic time if you visit this hotel.
Great hotel, service and location

Overall a great experience at the hotel. Great location, staff all very friendly. Breakfast was really good and rooms clean and comfortable. The pool and spa area was very modern and again, everything was really clean. Definitely will recommend to stay here and we ourselves will be staying here on our next return to bath.
Only 3 menu choices

Major complaint was that there were only 3 choices of food on the evening menu if you booked bed breakfast and evening meal. For a vegetarian it would be hell. Pork , Burger or Cod was the choice. So if staying for a week, you would be forced out to eat, even though you have paid for an evening meal. This problem spoil't our visit to Bath. However, the room and pool were excellent.
