Lucky last minute find
Opinión escrita el 22 de Julio de 2021
We were lucky to find Brickfield Farm for a last minute weekend break and it was top class. A lovely big room beautifully furnished and a super comfortable bed. All we could want to relax
It was lovely to have some outside space to get some fresh air and enjoy a drink with the sun going down over the fields.
The breakfast was delicious in a lovely conservatory watching the sheep grazing. The food sounded lovely but unfortunately was not available on our weekend.
We were a little confused by Kitchenette and assumed it meant some equipment maybe glasses and plates even if plastic or disposable but we bought a couple of wine glasses and found a bottle opener in the car. We would have been better prepared if we had known
Unfortunately being the hottest weekend of the year it was very hot at night so we had to leave the patio door open but we had a lovely break and would definitely recommend Brickfields Farm, very luxurious.
Excellent weekend will definitely be coming back.

Just had a weekend at this location and what a lovely time we had, we arrived on Friday the 18th of June for 3 days and we were greeted immediately by Ian who welcomed us and showed us to our lovely room, soon after karen came and introduced herself they were both lovely and couldn't do enough for you.
That night we ate in the conservatory the food was amazing and the views of the surrounding fields and wildlife are beautiful. Next morning we had a yorkshire breakfast this will keep you going for the day, so we set off for york Park and ride and caught the bus into york Town centre were we spent the day shopping and walking round, when we got back we decided to order a meat platter to our room Ian informed us that karen had no scotch eggs made so she suggested half meat and half cheese platter we said that would be fine but karen went the extra mile and produced still warm scotch eggs to go with the amazing platter. This is one of the best places we have stayed at the staff are lovely and friendly the location is beautiful, the food is first class and the rooms are beautiful and clean, can't wait to come back thanks for a great weekend karen and Ian see you soon.
Thanks Rick and Sonia Kitchen

Brickfields Farm is very peacefully situated, surrounded by fields and animal life. Room was very spacious, good condition and well appointed. Breakfast and dinner were excellently cooked using local produce and bar has a good selection of local beers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return when in the area again.
Beautiful rooms in a lovely location

We have just had a lovely weekend at Brickfields Farm. The spotlessly clean rooms are as beautiful as the pictures suggest, down to every tiny detail, eg the little bag of fragrant wooden balls on the inside of the wardrobe door, real KEYS instead of the soulless cards, coffee bags instead of the usual sachet of instant...and so many more examples of the huge effort the owners have gone to to create a wonderful experience for their guests. The bed was comfortable (high-quality super-crisp sheets) - there was a walk-in shower AND bath in my room, and although it was warm on our visit, an extra electric 'log' heater would I think mean the rooms are toasty warm on cooler days. The location is idyllic - peaceful, surrounded by wildlife, eg pheasants, guinea fowl, and rabbits that come up close to the patio where we would sit out and admire the view of the fields and trees around. The bar is well-stocked with everything you'd expect, plus several different flavours of 'York Gin', and with Ian's expert help we sampled a couple and they went down very well indeed! The food...Karen's Eggs Florentine breakfast is truly the best I've ever had. All the food was of a very high standard and I'd also particularly recommend the Pea croquettes/patties with mint and Yorks fettle (Yorks 'feta' really but they're not allowed to say that). Brickfields is a few minutes' walk from a lovely little Yorks village, full of stone-walled buildings, and about 40 minutes' drive from the York Park 'n' Ride. We highly recommend Brickfields Farm, and wish we could have stayed there longer.
Beautiful. Just perfect

We stayed here for two nights, which as wondeful. The breakfast was absolutely incredible, kept us going through the day for our many adventures. Its in a stunning location with lots of places to explore just a short drive away. Karen is so wonderful, friendly and lovely, makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. The room we stayed in was the Brambles, the views were amazing. The shower was sensational, such power after a long day of walking was like a massage! I can't wait to come back and you should certainly book as it will make your trip that bit extra special.
