Lovely sojourn @ the Code

Reviewed 4 december, 2022

Stayed @ this lovely place from 24 to 28 Nov. Enjoy my sojourn and wished to extend my appreciation to the hotel staff for their warm hospitality, especially to Tiri who had endeavored to help me & my friend secure a last minute booking with a tour agency for a day tour to Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park. Even though she did not managed to secure a booking for us with the tour agency, we really appreciate her valiant effort. The room was nice, more or less similar to what you see in the posted pictures. The view from the balcony was excellent too, as you can see from my video. I love the part where they placed a resting couch at the balcony, which is apt for just lazing & enjoying the seaview across. & not forgetting the very inviting infinity pool with the marvelous view across the sea. Definitely a instagram-able spot. The housekeeping was prompt & the room was very well kept thru out my stay. The restaurant was good as well, I enjoyed the breakfast which was quality & quite a spread for me. Price was quite reasonable too, in my opinion. Alright asides from the niceties, there're a few things which I think is worth pointing out. 1) There aren't any elevator in the hotel, so the stairs are the only option. I would advise checking in early before evening, when the reception will be able to arrange for a staff to bring your luggage up to your room. Else, u're gonna have bring it up yourself. 2) The place is relatively remote & far from the other hotspots in Samui like Chaweng or Lamai. 1 way to Chaweng will prob take around 35 -45 mins depending on traffic. However, there are plenty of shops & outlets nearby for dinning, massage or to simply grab some groceries or necessities. You really gotta chk out the nearby Bang Por Beach, which is a quiet idyllic beach with an lovely view of the opposite island Ko Pha Ngan. Oh yeah, I fly my drone there too, & the view is awesome too. I would seriously recommend renting a motorbike or car to get around. Else, u can try exercising those limps by walking up & down the hill (The hotel is perched on top of a hill, thus the excellent vantage pt). Regardless, I think this hotel is a great place for couples & families looking a quiet idyllic spot, away from the hustle & bustle or the furor of commercial tourism. I would really consider coming back again in my future trip back to Samui...

The Code was Amazing!

Reviewed 30 november, 2022

What an amazing place to stay! Nune and all the staff always went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed help with! They were so friendly and accommodating! My legs were in shape by the end of the trip 🥰 The restaurant food was spectacular! The entire staff, Lay, Som, Nune everyone was amazing! The rooms were so quiet! The pool was beautiful, the steam room was sooo nice 😊 Absolutely would recommend staying here! Love the view of the island and the beach that we get. Just a 5 min short drive to the beach! ♥️♥️

As good as ever

I stayed in Code pre-Covid and its just as good now, This hotel is immaculate and looks like a lot of work has been done during the low seasons of the last couple of years. It's all about the view at Code, you wake up in the mornings to the most magnificent sea views with silhouettes of other islands in the back ground. The restaurant does great Thai and western food, the staff are helpful and friendly. The best part is you can now stay for half the price of pre-Covid.

Nice place

We stayed here for a couple of days in April. Property is nicely maintained. Rooms are spacious. View from top floors is magnificent. While Covid has limited services somewhat, we felt the hotel could of done a bit better with training their staff. Drinks were weak or ingredients missed. Our first meal order was wrong. Staff here is very friendly, hard working, just need a bit of training. This hotel is up the hill from the beach, so was a bit far for walking. Having your own transportation is recommended. Would have to have our own car/scooter in order to stay here again.
