Pertly situated small, well run and friendly hotel in Krakow

Reviewed 21 november, 2022

We have just returned from a long weekend staying at this lovely hotel. Gosha our host was so attentive and ensured we were comfortable and provided with everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh and varied. The beds were super comfy and it was handy having the well stocked kitchen to make tea and coffee as desired.

City break with ultimate comfort and being looked after

This place was highly rated and so I took the step to book a room about two months in advance to make sure I got the room. Once my plans to Poland became closer and more certain, I realised I would be needing somewhere to leave my suitcase somewhere whilst spending the day in Krakow. I contacted the apartments and they immediately replied saying I could keep our luggage there safely. I then asked about whether there were larger beds available due to my height and again, Gosha the hostess was able to accommodate us in the Shiraz room without quibble. Once I realised I would be about 3 hours early for check in too, Gosha was happy to allow us to place our luggage at reception and for us to go out to the City for a few hours. She then contacted me to say the room was ready. The room itself was clean and tidy, the bed was super comfortable, sufficient lighting in the room and enough room for luggage inside. Breakfast in the morning was well prepared and enough to feed grown adults easily. The apartment is a 10-15 minute walk to the edge of the city walls with plenty of cafes on the way there should you wish to stop.

Loved this place. Returning in March

What a find! Wonderful place. Quiet, clean, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for Magdalena & Gosha. I have to take some heavy duty meds in the morning and they were only too happy for me to have breakfast in our room. The kitchen area is a great room where you can sit and talk or just make a cuppa. We are looking forward to returning in March. Poland is wonderful. Krakow is beautiful and the Polish people are so welcoming.

Just perfect

Home from home. Beautiful apartment and room in the main house too. Great communication and nothing was too much trouble. Magdalena and Gosia were superb hosts and the extra special touches of cake being left for our late arrival and dairy and gluten free being readily accommodated for. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Total Charm and Excellence

I don't write a lot of reviews, but in over two decades of traveling, Cracowdays ranks in the top 3 or 4 places I've stayed. There really aren't enough superlatives to describe it. I fear people will think this is a fake review because I'm going to heap on the praise, but the review is real and much deserved. Magdalena, the owner, is friendly, gracious, and helpful in ways you don't even know you need. Cracowdays provided absolutely everything I was looking for - charm, great sleeping (quiet area and incredibly comfortable bed), awesome breakfast (the variety and quantity is crazy), excellent service, and fantastic location. I prefer smaller, more personable "mom and pop" type places where I can interact with staff or other guests. Not a fan of large, impersonal hotels. Cracowdays offers it all. My room was gorgeous, clean, peaceful, with a beautiful view on a courtyard. I LOVED the location - walking distance to everything, great connections to public transportation, yet in an area that is not overly touristy. You feel like you are walking down the street with every day Krakovians, but you are still close to all the sites and great restaurants. Magdalena also goes above and beyond. I had a minor "wardrobe malfunction" with an item that would have been very difficult to replace during my extended travels. Magdalena actually took the item to a seamstress who does work for her, explained the problem, got it fixed, and brought the item back to me the next day. Magdalena fosters an atmosphere that makes you feel like you are family. Krakow is a fantastic city, and I will absolutely stay at Cracowdays the next time I am there. You should too. You won't regret it.
