Stayed 25th Oct for 1 week with my 12yr old son and my mother. I asked for room close to each other as my mother is almost deaf but dont think they noticed Luckily she was on same floor at opposite end. We arrived late due to flights etc and nearly everyone was hungry Only dry pasta and a milky soup was available which was for the staff i think,so no food for anyone So off to bed rooms were ok, quite small .I paid almost £100 extra on loveholidays for a upgraded single parent room but room was identical to my mothers and staff had no idea what i was talking about!! first morning for breakfast was a disaster all i liked was a tomato with cheese on and a few beans, even toast was rubbish Basically the food tries too hard to cater for the masses and fails bigstyle .Lots of salad and picky things to choose from but food was almost same stuff everynight with a change of cheap meat, most people I talked to agreed the food was terrible and ate out in town. Maybe because we were near end of season who knows .Believe me im not fussy at all as i go camping a lot but food was a huge letdown. The hotel grounds and pools are magnificent and the gardens around hotel are beautiful and kept immaculate there are lots of cats around but all are nice ha The hotel staff and kids entertainment team are brilliant too but the hotel is crying out for some adult entertainment in bar such as singer and a piano and maybe a sports bar for the football no football on anywhere !! also a food shop for night time for pizzas or kebabs as everyone was hungry later on .I would happily pay the extra . My biggest moan was the temperature of the pools and no lazy river etc, The temperature of water was ridiculous ,i have swam in lakes ,rivers, seas all over and this was coldest ever .It was maybe 27degrees around dinnertime and all pools would be empty as soo cold ,I asked why and got told they use a refridgerant in water to keep it clean.my feet were numb after 5 mins and teeth chattering, now this is not normal and im a fattie Staff brilliant average all the rest

Disappointing - do NOT book based on The Times review alone

Reviewed 21 october, 2022

We booked here after reading the review in The Times. I am frankly baffled how the resort got such good reviews. Other than the evening entertainment and the water park, which were both good, I was very disappointed with this resort. It is the first time I have been on holiday where I have wanted to go home after only a few days. We stayed here for a week with our kids, aged 4 and 7. Food - when we booked, the Jet2 description said this place had 3 buffet restaurants. There was only one buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner ALL week. Other than the salad buffet, which was very good, the food was mostly tasteless. The Italian a la carte was shut. The Turkish kebab house was awful. Dry unflavoured meat. The kebab from the local town for £1.20 tasted better. The fish a la carte (Blue) was quite good and I would recommend this. Drinks - not good. They only served local spirits and the international brands were the awful cheap stuff, like Bells whiskey. Kids club-we left our kids here and when we went to pick them up, we found some young kids wandering out the front door with no staff to be seen. We didn't leave our kids here after that incident. Rooms-are tiny and dated. No point even unpacking as the cupboards hold about 2 jumpers. Our minibar was not restocked at all while we were there. Wifi-absolute rubbish. Only worked in the room and in the lobby and even then, it kept dropping. Water park is very good. However, we came with another family and at one point, one of their young kids landed in the pool, going under several times and the lifeguard just stood there and didn't do anything. The child's father had to jump in to rescue him.

A Happy Holiday <3

Reviewed 20 october, 2022

I spent a week at Atlantique Holiday Club with my 9 year old son. Leos Horse Tours, the dogs on the Beach, cats, the beautiful gardens the Comfoy beds and the pools were all lovely. My son felt totally safe and relaxed riding the horse and my dream of riding in the sea came true! The trip we did with Regal tours was so much more than expected too. There was a great choice of food. The white wine was good and my son loved the Cherry Juice in the machine! (that was his best thing about the holiday!). The room we had first was really noisy and i felt overwhelmed at the thought of having to stay there all week. they switched us to a quieter block with no hassle and offered help to move luggage. The highlight for me was watching my son play at the Mini Club on the last day. The staff Hazel was on her own but created such a lovely athmosphere for children to play together. She is a really skilled childcare worker and a lovely person. Mini Club was great. Another day he did Yoga and made Pizza. Those young women are amazing and deserve a pamper day and a big bottle of wine each! We are planning to come back in April and hope to do a longer horseride. I hope we get a quiet room. Our first holiday and it was fab.
