Good experience after having a bad one in the town

Reviewed 12 january, 2014

Was surprised about the good service and the price was in relation what was offered. We stayed first at the bb lujan de cujo, which owner was very dishonest to us and cheated us with the blue dollar rate charging and even yelled at we were a bit frightened that this is common in mendoza by our surprise the people were very friendly... The hotel owner helped us even to find a mechanic to solve some brake problems we had with our car.. so we stayed there for 4 days... the longest period in ur 3 months journey in argentina. Swimming Pool was clean considering you are in south america and i enjoyed to swim . Breakfast was fine and just ask if you miss something.. the personal is helpful and trys to arrange.. Parking space was big and i can not understand that comment of swedishtraveller at all, hardly to believe that someone could crash bios car when parked properly. I heard then the story from the hotel owner which is completely different then that of swedishtraveller_13 If i ever comeback i consider to try again the hotel... they even are constructing now a handicapped room for wheelchair use...

Dishonest non-English speaking owner, try everything to avoid!

This hotel is so horrible that it completely ruined our last days in Mendoza!!! The hotel has a very dishonest owner who tries to take advantage you at every step. Try everything to avoid! There are so many better hotels in Mendoza! First when we arrived at the hotel, there was no one there, we had to open the door oursevels to park the car, then after waiting for 5 minutes at the reception, a big guy arrived, he didn't ask us to show any identification or anything as a normal hotel does, but the first he did was ask us to pay everything in cash. Then we got the keys to an uncleaned room seems to belong to someone else, after we complained they took as to another room. The room was okay but I found a spider on the bed which is a bit scary, also the pool was less than half filled. The whole point that we chose this hotel was that it had two pools, but one is not cleaned and the other is not even half filled!!! Compare to all the other wonderful experience we had in other hotels (ex. Villa Mansa), this was not really acceptable. The next day when we woke up, the worst came. We parked our rental car in the garden of the hotel, and when we were planning to drive to a vineyard the next morning, we found someone hit our car. There was no other guests in the hotel that night, so it could only be the hotel staff. We spoke to the owner of the hotel, he first said he didn't know, then refused to check the camera they had over the garden. Later he admitted they was responsible so he called up our rental agency in Spanish. Since our Spanish was not great, I couldn't understand what he was exactly saying. After the phone call, he told us the rental agency said we just need to go to the police station to get a report and we won't have to pay a cent. We were a bit skeptical but we did what he said. We spent the WHOLE last day going to 5 police stations to get the paperwork, and it turned out to be that we didn't actually need it for the rental agency!!!!

Good resort style hotel

Reviewed 9 february, 2012

Very modern, villa style single storey hotel with massive bedrooms and bathrooms set round large pool and in 2 areas within large landscaped gardens. Has a small restaurant which serves a limited menu prepared to order, but extremely good at a reasonable price. Good breakfast. Everywhere was absolutely immaculately clean. Very friendly staff but no English spoken. Wifi bit erratic in rooms but worked ok in main area. Need a car to get around but taxis available. Although situated south of Mendoza in Lujan de Cuyo and in the vineyard area, it was close to a small but busy road and was surprisingly noisy at night and a great deal of noise from the local dog population. A great place to stay if you want to be out of the city and close to vineyards.

ideal para ir con chicos

Reviewed 25 october, 2016
