Little gem tucked away in East Sussex

Reviewed 27 november, 2022

The hosts Carol and Ceri were delightful and welcomed me warmly on a Friday. I was on a course nearby all week and wanted a nice treat to unwind before heading home Sunday. As it was close to Christmas, the festive decorations were up and it made me feel like a small child again. They had their two lovely grandchildren around, plus two charming dogs which made the stay more special. The rooms are furnished and presented to a very high standard, each room has a theme (I stayed in the peacock room). There are some great touches with the furnishings and accessories, bed is very comfy and there are complimentary bathrobes and slippers should you need them. I was offered a choice of rooms as I was the only one staying that weekend and had the the privilege of using my own separate large bathroom with electronic controls in the shower. Breakfast was great, finely cooked served by Ceri each morning. There is a lovely 2 mile scenic walk around the property too which I enjoyed, saw some horses along the way too. I highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the county!

What a Lovely Place.

I have stayed at only a few B & Bs. This was by far the best. As comfortable as being at home. The room was excellent, the breakfast likewise. There was nothing to fault except that I felt that Carol and Ceri could have done a bit better with the weather. It hardly stopped raining. If we are in the area again we would not wish to try anywhere else. Well done C & C.

This is THE best B&B we've ever stayed in. Room was large & very comfortable with thoughtful extras & really clean. All bed & bathroom linen was of high quality. We'd a super view over the extensive & interesting garden, which my husband especially appreciated. Breakfast menu had a terrific choice too & the good food was always served with a smile. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome & our chats were always informative & good fun! A lovely atmosphere in the house & the best place to stay.

We stayed at the Beechwood B and B for our friend's wedding locally - The bed and breakfast was lovely, the rooms were clean and very well presented with charming internal décor. The breakfast was gorgeous definitely helped us start our days off right! Ceri and Carol were lovely hosts - Very helpful and friendly. We really struck lucky with this one and would highly recommend to anybody staying in the area. We were very impressed!

very high standard

We recently went to stay at Beechwood for our annual visit to Glyndebourne. with friends who stayed there too. It is amazing that over the ten years we have visited the standard has been consistently high. Great accommodation, comfortable beds and pillows and everything you could want in a 5-star room. The decor is always perfect, no visible 'wear and tear' - such a high standard and attention to detail including a full selection of fruit tea bags in the room. Carol and Ceri are always there when you need them: to help carry the bags or with any other queries you may have. Ceri cooks the breakfast with the highest quality ingredients and a good choice on the menu - you choose the night before. If you're in this area do stay - we always will.
