Buenas actividades y animación, un hotel muy familiar en la parte mas tranquila de lignano sabbiadoro y a su ves fácil de acceder. Gente muy amable y muy buena atención. Desayuno buffet muy variado pero las habitaciones y el mobiliario de las mismas de poca calidad. No parece ser hotel 4* yo le daría categoría 3*
Very nice weekend
We stayed in this hotel for one weekend with our daughter (2 years old) - and many of our friends since we were in Lignano to attend the wedding of a couple of friends (they suggested all the guests to stay in this hotel). We didn’t choose the room so it was quite small compared to what we would have booked ourselves - but clean and functional. The bathroom was also very small. In my opinion, the strength of this hotel is the VERY VERY KIND and HELPFUL STAFF (from the receptionists to the waiters in the restaurant). Always smiling and ready to helping you! Close by the hotel - which has an okay pool - there’s a beach where the guests of the hotel can stay (sun beds and umbrella are included when the stay in the hotel is at least for 3 nights). Our bedroom had the view on the swimming pool and the port. The food served in the restaurant was not great but okay.
We arrived for a 6 nt stay august 2 2011. We had reserved a 3 room suite, we were told our room was still occupied by the previous guest who was missing and who had not checked out. His stuff was all over the room, they could not remove this. They walked us to the President, a hotel with less facilities and we were accommodated in a large handicapped room with 2 bathrooms (only showers). We informed the Marina Uno we did not accept this alternative, they would re accommodate us the next day. We started to look ourselves for alternative accommodation and found it at the Bibione Palace (nice!!). the next morning we were called by the Marina Uno, they had found us a suite at the Hotel Rex, but the Hotel Rex, we found out, did not have the right accommodation either. So we left the Preident and stayed at the Bibione Palace. The previous guest, we were told, had still not shown up and he was in Venice. And he had promised to be back and check out. We frankly do not believe this story. They had overbooked and we were walked because we had booked via Booking.com and that probably results in the lowest yield for the Marina Uno. They used this trouble guest as an excuse and they lied to us.
New owner, big disappointment, no service
We've been in this hotel last year and we were reasonably satisfy to come back this year. We were not told they have a new owner and that the formula completely changed. Instead of personalised service and choices of menu for lunch and dinner, they've changed it to buffet and do everything yourself... A nightmare! And food quality is not good, how can you have good pasta that stays 30 minutes on a buffet? This is not a 4 stars hotel anymore and they even increase prices from last year. They already lost me as a customer and hope they will loose many more
Nice but with reservations
Have been there in the top season so value for money might be questioned but price was comparable to 3* hotels in the same period, i.e. cost okay. Half board was well worth the money, restaurant staff very friendly. One gets a table assigned for the whole stay, nice personalised approach. Rooms have (apart from the top floor apartments) unified size, generous for two, accenpatble for three, small for four. Furniture dated, TV and radio outdated. Bathroom okay. Airconditioning with funny controls from WWII ;-) Definitely go for a room with balcony (were sold out unfortunately). Free WiFi though ... Room cleaning very good. Location good, 5 min walk to the seaside. Free parking, free reserved beach equipment on the public beach (very nice and well organised). Nice pools but one deep and one shallow, no really shallow area in the "real" one. Staff friendly. German preferred to English (I mean language ;-) )
