Perfection in Every Way
This hotel is absolutely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The Ritz Four Seasons Lisbon does not miss a thing. Every Department was top shelf. From the Doormen and Bellmen to Concierge to the Front Desk to Room Service to Housekeeping to Veranda Restaurant and the Bar each and every one was on top of what they do. The staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming. They acknowledge you by name every chance they can and are so thankful you have come to their city and staying at their hotel. The rooms are 100% European in decorations and feel with one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. They are working on building a new outdoor pool which should be a great addition when complete. If you are going to Lisbon this is honestly the place you want to stay. The location is central to everything and comfortable walking distance to anywhere in this walkable city. If you are going to Europe make sure to see Lisbon and make this your home for a few days.
Wonderful city break truly first class...
We've eaten at some great Four Seasons restaurants over the years but never stayed in one and wow, we didn't realise quite what we'd been missing... Great service, food and ambience, made and delivered by excellent staff. Young, attentive and genuinely pleased to help in any way that they can, the staff set this hotel apart. A real treat and worth every cent.
A sublime experience immersed in luxury
We visited the Four Seasons in Lisbon for a long weekend recently for our 10th wedding anniversary. The hotel went beyond our expectations to make us feel special. It's clear that this hotel was built some ago - it's large and grand with massive opulent open spaces. But the staff and service levels is where this property excels. You will be ensconced in luxury and top-class service from the time you walk in to the time you leave. A few stand-outs though... The hotel has a formal restaurant, while they offer more casual dining options (including sushi) at the bar. The sushi was some of the best I've ever had. Also, the bar has an excellent list of cocktails which is certainly worth exploring if that's something of interest. The fine dining restaurant offers amazing Portuguese-inspired cuisine with an excellent wine list to match. Also, breakfast is served in the formal restaurant which is a lovely yet decadent way to start the day. In particular, the live piano playing over breakfast is a treat. The spa & indoor pool is downstairs from reception. We actually enjoyed the space immensely. It's a lovely way to spend a few hours relaxing after the hustle of Lisbon's busy streets. The spa treatment rooms were not open during the day on account of construction noise nearby, but the team were able to make an alternative plan for us, using the health club on the top floor and our room. The gym is one of the largest and best equipped hotel gyms I've ever seen. It comprises three large rooms catering to pilates, weights and cardio. In addition, the outside running track provides views over Lisbon. (Admittedly, I used the running track only for view and not for exercise. At only 400m in length, it requires quite a few laps to get any distance.) Our room was extremely spacious and very well appointed. The bed, linen and towels are normal Four Seasons luxury. We were fortunate to be on the top floor so enjoyed amazing views over Lisbon. Where this hotel really excels is the service. The team are always available to help and no request is too small. In particular, we really enjoyed the restaurant recommendations they provided. The Four Seasons chat facility is a clear winner. Being able to chat to someone and know that you're being looked after is wonderful. Even if you're not in the hotel, the team is always on standby to look after you. The service extends beyond the concierge team, and this is where the small touches really show. The weather forecast is provided at turndown, but becomes a postcard the day after. Our spectacles were given Four Seasons cloths for cleaning. The little treats every night were incredible. And the parting gift is extremely special. Finally, the hotel is actually well positioned to enable you to make the best use of Lisbon. The short distance away from the town center leaves you with a short walk to downtown, but when you're in the hotel, you feel isolated from the hustle of the city. They have been able to capture the best of both options in this property. It's worth visiting.
Total and utter luxury
We had the most exquisite stay at the hotel - from the moment we arrived to when we left we cannot adequately describe the superb care and attention we received. Everything is planned, coordinated and arranged with understated elegance and desire for you to feel looked after and pampered. All the staff from front of house welcome to room service and the most attentive housekeeping staff I have ever come across. We encountered a slight problem with our suite electrics and all efforts were made to rectify the issue for us as quickly and efficiently as possible. The room service experience they talk about bringing the dinning room to you and they absolutely do - quality of the food excellent and the delivery and service second to none. The breakfast choice in the Resturant will meet all tastes. The bed, pillows and linen all of very high quality and the terrace additional space make for the most lovely calming space to unwind and rest having explored Lisbon all day. The views from the roof are a must - I’m sure the exercise facility and running track are useful if you are that way inclined but for us it was the views day and night that held our attention. Well done and thank you for everything and everyone who made our stay unforgettable and just so unique- we’ve had a rough start to the year and this experience of gentleness and care was just the tonic we needed.
Ritz equal luxury and quality, no doubt
Truly luxury 5 stars hotel as should be all the other 5 stars hotels, from the first second when the hotel doors open with a big welcoming smile from the 4 concierge, following the classy reception and the embasadora who take you for a tour around the hotel, ending with huge room and marble bathroom having everything you need, with a lovely view from the terrace, taking care of small details always you find in Ritz, breakfast is served in a gourmet way make you feel relaxed with the background of playing piano. Gym, spa and pool can't be better. From my deep heart i own a word of thank you to all the staff who made my stay unforgettable.
