my liverpool trip
We had a lovely 4 days at the Adelphi the staff were very nice the entertainment good and the food was plentiful and there was plenty of choice. Although the hotel itself needs a bit of TLC as we all do as we get older it was clean and tidy.
Old basic run down hotel
Stopped here luckily on a stag do so wasnt really too fussed about the place but first impressions on arrival was that it was high class until you get to your rooms which havent been upgraded since the 1960s No plug for the bath , the shower missing a washer therefore useless, uncomfortable beds , However it's in a great location but needs a couple of million spent on this place asap Shame as it's a lovely old building but wouldn't reccomend
Awful. Rather get Covid19 than go back there
Stayed here a couple of weeks ago to attend a family wedding nearby. Scruffy and old fashioned for sure but we weren't staying long. Got back to hotel friday night and we too had our room broken into. My wifes purse with cash and card taken. Card used in several sites around Liverpool before we cancelled it in the early hours. Night staff, day staff and duty manager couldn't care less. No one at the hotel asked if we were alright, or said sorry. Very poor attitude and customer care. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, or Covid 19.

This is the hotel chain that throws their staff out on the streets over the corona virus, I’ve stopped here many times, never again. Any business that can treat their staff in such a disgraceful manner does not deserve to service after the virus has run its course Do not use Britannia Inns 🏨
Atmosphere
On entering the Adelphi you cant help but be overwhelmed by its exquisite atmosphere. It is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. It has seen better days maintenance wise but you can feel the majesty and style it is so genteel. I cant wait to go back again. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent.
