After lockdown visit...
Covid security features..so we were met at the door after we had rang the bell, by a security guard who checked a list before letting us in. Hand sanitisers in place and distanced from check-in. all rang smoothly by lovely duty manager! Room was fine... high floor and we did not see another person so it was very quiet. Appeared to be lovely and clean, only towels for 1 person but found them in the cupboard later and could do with more toiletries for 2 people but was fine. We had drinks in the lounge bar which was the only one open but the bar lady was kind and provided lovely gin and tonics. Being picky we could have had a nicer room , not overlooking noisy Matthew Street which was still loud but overall it was fine. On checkout we could not redeem our car park discount as the machine was not working, no fault of the reception staff but we could not get our discount at Qpark liverpool one as we couldn't find the person in the main car park to help us. Overall a passable stay with good staff trying to do their best in odd conditions!! Well done.
All staff that we encountered at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant were lovely and there was a singer on the Saturday evening which was a nice surprise. The location could not be any better. The room was a very nice but a bit tired. We were given an interconnecting room so could hear the other guests quite loud. Breakfast was amazing both days and the young waitress who was mostly on her own was fabulous. The staff at reception kept hold of our bags after checkout which was a godsend. It was such a professional operation. We will definitely be back.
We stayed at the Hard Days Night for a weekend away and it's a brilliant hotel! Our bedroom was spacious and I can't remember the last time I had such a good night sleep. The hotel itself feels grand but cosy at the same time and is only a couple of minutes walk from all the main shopping streets in Liverpool. Thanks for a great stay!
2 night stay
Had a lovely couple of nights stay after our spanish holiday plans cancelled. Staff were fab and nothing was too much trouble, made our stay perfect especially debbie georgia and hollie in the restaurant
Short break in Liverpool
We've just returned from a 3 night break at the Hard Days Night hotel. Its been a very different break as on our second day the advice on the virus situation changed everything. Our first night was excellent and the singer in the hotel lounge (Callum) put on an excellent show. Following the announcements on Monday the city centre became very quiet, in fact the St Patrick's night on the Tuesday was the quietist I have ever seen. Despite all this we did still enjoy our break. The hotel is in an excellent location, just around the corner from Matthew Street and the Cavern. Its also very close to the shopping area Liverpool One. We'd recommend using the Q park in Liverpool One as the hotel provide a discount there. Plenty of restaurants nearby and we'd recommend the Slug and Lettuce at the end of the road. The hotels major feature is the decor that is obviously "Beatle themed" and all rooms have individual styles. All staff were very helpful and I'd give a particular mention to our barman Joe - always smiling.
