Im just going to cut to the chase. I visited the hawthorn suite in Longview at 3211 Hotel way & felt nothing but attacked & robbed on my departure. If the amount of double minority workers they have doesn’t upset you, then I’m sure the dramatically high profiling, systemic racist young adults that they have running the front desk counter will. Not only do they personally hold the power of accepting your hard earned money to obtain a room with them but they also hold the power of overcharging your card for fees that they see fit, then refusing service from you. Meaning removing you & your family from the property without any type of superior clearance nor acknowledgment whenever & if-ever they feel like it. In shorter words, if your family’s skin color doesn’t fall under “ The American Dream “ this is not the hotel for you nor your children. Mya Smith & Katie the two girls that work at the front desk DO NOT wear face masks even though the customers MUST in order to purchase a room. All to top it off there’s no breakfast, & the house keeping crew go into your personal belongings while cleaning the rooms. I WILL NOT BE BACK!! #BLM ✊🏽
More stressed coming out, than when we came in

Staff went thru my belongings, Are nosey, Bitter. And severely self entitled. If u want peace, privacy, or to relax..this is not the place for u. I do not recomend staying there. I will never again...

Great experience for me front desk help miss mya and katie were very professional and respectful. Helped with every request and always with a great attitude and smile.
recommend this for all long stay people. I see post on here complaining about no breakfast or such but they must have forgotten about covid. Either way had great time. Rooms were clean and sanitized no problems. All staff were friendly and helpful even meet the manager it is no wonder these employee's are helpful and keep great attitudes. She really cares for them and the guest and helps them in every way she can.

My husband and I had an awful experience at this hotel!!
We checked in the night of December 18-19, 2020. The night staff was awesome!! It was a young lady who was pregnant and I think her name is Shyla, her and the other young lady was great! Check in was easy showed my DL and credit card, no problem. I booked through booking.com.
The next morning we decided to stay another night December 19-20, 2020. I attempted to call from our room but the phone was not working, tried plugging it in and still did not work. I called the front desk from my phone and told the front desk that I wanted to book another night and that I would do it through booking. com. I was told that I would have to come to the front desk.
I went to the front desk and the manager Mya Smith, if that is her real name, first was not wearing a mask AND she looked as though she was not in the best of moods. As I stood at the desk and she was rekeying my keys she asked was I in the room by myself, I thought that was an odd question, but I told her no my husband was with me and she stated that he would have to come to the desk and show his ID, I then asked her would it be ok for me to get his ID and bring it to the desk because he was tired and sleeping because he is a truck driver. She stated to me that my husband would have to come himself with a smirky attitude and the way she was looking at me as if I was doing something wrong. I then asked her why didn’t the night staff ask for his ID last night when we checked in. She asked me who checked us in and I told her whoever her night staff was.
I attempted to call my husband in the room from my phone but he did not answer. I made a comment as to that I had never heard of such a rule and that I have stayed in many hotels as that I am a flight attendant. I then told her that I would be back, I was going to get my husband.
My husband went to front desk and came back to the room and stated that the lady Mya Smith was very rude, refused to give him the corporate number ands he stated that he was trying to intimidate her because he was trying to explain to her about him signing my name as my spouse and that he was also a police officer too. She also made the statement that she could have refused to let us back in the room because “I walked away”.
My husband asked her for our receipts for our stays. The second stay was under a Tammy Allen in which my name is Tammy Smith. When my husband tried to tell her this, she blatantly LIED and said Tammy Allen was the name I booked it under. She stated that she could go in and change the name for it to reflect the correct information. At this point my husband thought if she can do this what else is she capable of doing. At this point my husband was very uncomfortable. We did not even spend the second night that we paid for because at this point we DID NOT trust this lady!!!
How do you book through a third party under one name and use a credit card under another? First when you book trough booking.com everything has to match. That tells me when I gave her my DL that she did not pay attention to the last name she just found a receipt with someone by the name of Tammy and printed it out with that person information, which I am sure are against the rules for that person safety.
My husband observed Mya Smith greet a male hotel guest of a different race by way of saying “Good morning Mr. Joe, how are you today?”
That statement alone made my husband feel that he did not received the same treatment as the other hotel guest. At no time did Mya Smith greet my husband with pleasantries.
This lady stated that she was the front desk manager. Well if that is the case she needs to get MORE customer service training!!!
