The resort is very open physically and spreads out as a kind of a holiday village. The breakfast is amazing and varied, we slept in a private villa with a pool and it was superb. It combined indulgence and perfect privacy. The cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel were sensational. Worth noting is the receptionist Sonny, and the room cleaner Dang who arranged the room for us every morning down to the level of sorting our snacks and rolling cables of the chargers. When we left she left us a note to say goodbye. Something special indeed.
Only thing I would say is that you need to take into consideration that it is rather a remote resort and you will need a car if you’re looking to explore other parts of the island/mall/ markets etc.

A fantastic stay for our anniversary. Friendly staff. Beautiful grounds. great pool villa that was clean and quiet and had good wifi. Public pool was nice and relaxing and great pool staff. Breakfast was delicious and full of variety. wood trims and fascia of hotel are starting to show there wear and probably as things get back to normal it will be looked at.
After a six-year absence, pleasant changes have occurred here

have not visited renaissance in Phuket since 2016and my return visit was phenomenal. I stayed in a villa and the first thing that stands out are the showers… Hands-down the best shower experience in any hotel I’ve been to. Lots of pressure and water volume! But that’s not why I visited… The pool is the most tranquil in Thailand (at least that I’ve visited). The breakfast buffet is fairly typical all you can eat international cuisine but I think it’s more international than even many of the other Marriotts I’ve been to in Thailand. Mini English, Australian, Chinese, Thai, American… Choices to choose from. The fitness center has been completely overhauled and is huge! It’s a legitimate gym with universal machines and treadmills in a separate area… Outstanding!
Front office staff is very helpful and it’s a pleasure to interact with them.
An outstanding hotel.
Best Services of Marriott Chain Hotels

As a titanium bonvoy member, I would endorse that Renaissance Phuket is the best hotel in Marriott chain in term of services. I stayed here for 23 nights out of our 35 nights in Phuket. When we were at other hotels, we cant wait to come back here. While other marriott hotels provide you with standard services, this hotel provides you “above and beyond” standard services.
From the moment I walked into this hotel, I was warmly welcomed by K.Bao, a concierge, whom also assisting us many times during our stay. It made me feel that I was right choosing this hotel and this was proved by experience we received here.
Breakfast here is second to none. The variety of breakfast and services from the staffs, K. Num, K.Koi, K. Aod, K. Pond, K. Pim, K. Arm, K. Seng, K.Mos (and all other staffs there) were far beyond our expectation from 5-star hotel. They were trying to introduce new dishes everyday so that a long-stay guests like us wont get bored. They even asked us what we would like to have for tomorrow breakfast and they were trying their best to serve us. Very kind and impressive of them.
Dining at Takieng was also exceptional. Foods were great but the services were much more better. The staff always gave attention to every details. When we wanted something, we didnt even have to ask them because they knew what we want and they did serve us right away. While all members at Takieng are fantastic, I would like to thank you K. Puen for her best hospitality. I cant think of other restaurant (including Michelin star restaurant - based on my 30+ restaurants experience) can be compared with the services here.
Housekeeping team was also a key part which made our star more comfortable, especially K Bam and K Jane. They observed our behavior of drinking water and you know what, they did provide a lot of extra water to meet our need - without us asking them! They also gave us a pillowcase for our pillow which we brought from our home - without us asking them. Wow. This was impressed us a lot as we didnt expect these from regular 5 star hotel.
Lastly, big thanks to front team, K Sanny, Tanny, Pearl, Honey, and all for taking care of us. We did feel most comfortable here, unlike other hotel which we feel pretty general. Also, thank you Vasco for great taking care of us. His assistance and service mind are extremely appreciated. He did drove the golf car himself to send us to our room - when all of concierges were engaged.
Cant wait to returning Renaissance Phuket for our next trip. I am sorry that I cannot mention name of every staffs (otherwise this review will be too long Lol) but I would like to let you know that we greatly appreciate your services and hardwork :)
Quiet luxury in a beautiful setting.

I stayed here for 17 nights from 07-24JUL2021 and had a fantastic stay. The staff were all truly excellent, professional, and hospitable. Vasco, one of the senior managers, kindly met me at check-in and diligently checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. I really appreciate his commitment to hospitality! In fact, every staff member from housekeeping to breakfast to the restaurant and gym was extremely warm and helpful. I'm so grateful to all the staff for the exceptional work they put in.
We stayed in a one-room villa that was very luxuriously-appointed with a comfortable bed, big desk for working, and opulent bathroom with in indoor-outdoor design that felt very Balinese. Our private pool was a very nice size for an afternoon dip and the walls around the pool area were high enough to allow for complete privacy. The internet was pretty good with only a couple hiccups during our stay, but the backup internet network would kick in when needed.
Breakfast was world-class. The food options were almost endless and we loved that breakfast was served until 1100 AM. All the staff were wonderful.
My favorite part of the resort was the gym. This gym is far above and beyond what any Renaissance property would require. There was a full compliment of dumbbells, a squat rack, Smith Machine, two benches, and plenty of cardio equipment.
The hotel's website photos are very accurate and what you see is what you get. It's a beautiful property in a lush setting right on the beach. The sunsets were a true delight to see while sipping on a cocktail at either of two hotel restaurants right on the beach.
I really can't think of anything negative to write about this property. We had a fantastic time and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
