Lovely Relaxing Stay

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The views are wonderful, the staff are very friendly, the food is great, the pools and hotel are also clean. We had a relaxing week, there is a lovely 20 min walk to the local village and several beaches. This hotel is not ideal for the less mobile as there are a lot of stairs in the hotel and the walks can be steep. The evening entertainment was also very enjoyable.
Good with some improvements

I spent a week at Blue Bay with my girlfriend, and have got to say it was a perfect get away for us.
We arrived after a late flight and were handed a ‘packed lunch’ which included a ham and cheese sandwich, bag of crisps and a couple of pieces of fruit.
Our room was at the top of the hill, off the main complex of the hotel. For us this was ideal, our off site block of rooms had its own bar with pool table and swimming pool so it was a lot quieter. The only thing I would say is walking up and down the hill every day becomes tiring. The room was what you’d expect, nice shower, decent sized room with two twin beds - although we did book a ‘double’ room, so expected a double bed. Cleaners were brilliant with the room; air con included but safe comes at a small fee - about €20 for the week. One negative is our room was on the bottom floor so didn’t get a sea view as described, the garden isn’t the best to look at either - just a patch of dry grass.
The food at the restaurant is surprisingly tasty. Buffet style, lots of options, and there was always something new to try each day. It’s the type of food you would expect from an all inclusive Greek hotel. Waffles and Crepes were a favourite at breakfast. You are given plastic gloves to wear in the restaurant when getting your food and drinks and must wear a mask. All inclusive drinks are great, would recommend the beer and sangria. We had a cocktail night, which range between €6.50 and €7.50 but the drinks were worth the money.
Small beach about 250m down from the hotel, you have to pay for sun beds, and the beach is mainly pebbles - the walk back up the hill from the beach to the hotel is also a killer. Few restaurants and ‘supermarkets’ down there too.
We visited Heraklion for the day, bus picks you up right outside the hotel for €3.50 each one way. Again, would recommend as it is a nice day out for a small price.
We also went to Water City Water Park. Tickets can be bought online for roughly €20. A transfer is available through the hotel but picks you up at 9.30am and leaves the park at 5:30pm. We thought this would be a long day in the sun so hired a car from reception for the day - prices from €42. Reception make a call to the car company who drop it off at hotel, when you’re done for the day you hand the key into reception and they sort the rest.
Evening entertainment was good, various shows in the amphitheatre - magic shows, Latin dance, Greek dancing. Rocco the magician was great. Also bingo and music quiz at the pool bar.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
We had a late flight home on the Saturday, on the Thursday before we enquired about paying for a late checkout and were told we could not do this until 24 hours before. We went back down Friday morning before breakfast so enquire and was told to wait until 5pm. Rang reception from our room at 5pm and was told to wait until 6pm. Went on our way to dinner at 6pm and was told they were fully booked so we could not keep room. No alternative showers or facilities could be used. If they were fully booked we believe they would have known this at the first time of asking - or even second.
I would therefore say the hotel need to be more accommodating for guests who have late flights.
Overall, a nice hotel, good food and drinks, friendly staff and would probably return.
Fantastic holiday - I would thoroughly recommend for people with allergies

My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic and very relaxing stay at this hotel. It was our first time in Greece and we’d definitely return!
We upgraded our room to an executive room with an outdoor jacuzzi bath, the room was lovely and spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed a soak in the bath at the end of the day, watching the sun set. Only downsize to the room was the chargeable safe, we acknowledge this was advertised, however felt a little steep.
The standout for me was the food - I have severe allergies and staff were extremely hospitable and made me feel very safe (safer than many restaurants in the UK where there is no language barrier! )
Every meal I was greeted by a member of staff who would walk me around, with the chef, and explain what was safe and what I should avoid. Despite the hotel being busy, after a few days these members of staff recognised me and gave me advise without me even having to ask for it.
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this hotel for people with allergies!
The pools were lovely and there was always loungers free mid morning, unlike other hotels where it becomes a battle for space by 7am!
A lovely area and overall a fantastic holiday.
Thank you so much, we would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Incredible hotel with amazing staff!

I stayed here alone 4-8th October as a woman on her own and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. When I arrived it was late like midnight, I checked in and they had made a bag with food as it was too late for dinner which was a nice touch! I checked in to a room in the annexe but it was a little far away so I asked if I could move rooms, the next day I went for breakfast and I can honestly say this is the best all inclusive hotel I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot in greece! I had an email saying my room was ready and I was picked up with my case and taken to another room which was absolutely perfect with a massive balcony! I don’t remember the ladies name at reception but she was super helpful even if it sounded like I had loads of problems so thankyou so much! The hotel is clean, the rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels, the cleaners were always lovely. No one can help you enough here the staff are so friendly and will go above and beyond for anything you need! The man in the main bar is lovely and makes the best cocktails ever, as the man by the main pool does aswell! I never once felt unsafe or uneasy being on my own everybody was so nice. There is a bus to the beach which is amazing because it’s up a huge hill! One day I had missed it and the lady in the shop by the beach had called the hotel and they came to get me! Greek people are lovely and this hotel is no exception, nothing was too much trouble!! I didn’t want to leave! The lunches and dinners were amazing, a massive choice for everyone with fresh fish everyday which I loved! Yes you have to wear masks and gloves but we are in a pandemic and this didn’t bother me at all, everybody followed the rules! The covid testing is good aswell as they come to the hotel to do it for you which saves a massive hassle trying to find somewhere! Just want to say thankyou so so much to the staff you are all amazing and made my holiday perfect :) I wish I could rate this hotel higher but trip advisor won’t let me, stay here you won’t regret it!! Thank you again :)
