Not the gem that it could be
I was very hopeful from the pictures that this was a recently renovated hotel that was going to be clean and comfortable. We were disappointed from the moment we drove into the property. The buildings from the outside are very worn and as you can see in the picture, the parking lot is full of trash. The inside of our room definitely needed some TLC. The worst part was of course the open ceiling in the bathroom so you didn’t have privacy and when we used the bathroom in the night, it lit up the bedroom, waking people up. Then the second bedroom didn’t have walls that went to the ceiling, so no privacy there either. The shower also was extremely dirty and had mold along the edges inside. The other thing to consider is this hotel is right on the road so it’s never quiet unless you have the air conditioner is going at full speed. They also allow dogs and of course right next-door to us were some very noisy dogs.
Tranquil paradise
We arrived at the hotel were Laura greeted us with a welcoming voice (wearing a mask), she was very friendly and very informative on all the neat things to do and best places to eat around the area. We were in room 16 A, which had been freshly remolded, and had a nice kitchen area, beautiful large bathroom and shower and super comfy bed. French doors that opened up to the beach, beautiful view. The beach had really nice lounge chairs, pool/hottub great and complimentary breakfast was delicious. Great place to stay, it's located before you get into the busyness of Marathon, so very tranquil. All the staff was very friendly and helpful, can't wait to go back.
Amazing Surprise!
My wife and I booked our room on a moment's notice while visiting Miami. We were planning to spend the night in Miami and drive to Key West the next day. Instead of staying in Miami we decided over lunch to begin our road trip to Key West and spend a night half way through the Keys. We found Rainbow Bend and booked very easily through Hotwire. The staff at Rainbow Bend contacted us and let us know they upgraded our room to ocean front. Our room felt like a cozy cottage with a kitchen wish dishware. The ocean view was so beautiful that I was considering another 24 hours there! I would defintely stay there again in the future!
Awesome Location!!
We enjoyed another incredible stay at this amazing location. This is our third time visiting this beautiful place. The private beach is just the best to enjoy a fun quite vacation. Having breakfast included at the Hideaway Café just priceless!! Laura and Cathy are awesome and very accommodating. Thank you!!

Amazing location!!! We chose this resort for the location.... amazing view of the ocean. The staff were friendly and helpful. They made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms were clean and nice. The hot tub was hot and the pool was cool ..... we loved it .... definitely recommend staying here if they have any rooms left !!!
