I came here with my best friend for her birthday in August 2019 (two non-white British females). Upon arrival, we checked in and they made us wait over 3 hours to get to our room, even though we arrived well after check in time. Receptions are very rude and unwelcoming to British guests and those who cannot speak Arabic or French will struggle. Our room was decent enough, but the back door did not lock (we were on the ground floor). The shower was very dodgy and only worked on one side, and the sink blocked and had black bugs crawling out of it with every use. Wifi takes about 10 minutes to connect to and only works in the reception area and in certain areas around the pool, none in your rooms. Outside evening entertainment is mainly for kids and is the same thing every night. The night club is similar to a primary school disco. A show is performed every night in the room above the night club and varies for how good it is, but the activities staff are always very enthusiastic. Sun loungers by the pool needed to be grabbed early in the morning or you were sat in the shade with no sun all day. Pool bar is for guests not all inclusive and the indoor lounge shuts at midnight. Alcohol is diluted and non branded, drinks are served in small party plastic cups. Only food available to all inclusive guests is in the main restaurant and it is a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast buffets is relatively ok, with a selection of cheese, fruits, breads, pastries and hot french toast (but massive queues every morning), with selection of juices. Lunch and dinner are very repetitive and not traditional Moroccan food. Expect flies on everything. Tables fit up to 10 people so you will have guests you don’t know sat with you at every meal. Soft drinks can be ordered to the table you sit at but you cannot leave the dining hall with them (unless you pay). If you pay for the shuttle into town, they drop you into the middle of nowhere for 3 hours to collect you in the same place with no map and only one supermarket similar to Aldi close by. The market is a good half an hour walk away from where they drop you and incredibly hard to find if you don’t know where you are going. The holiday rep (female, cannot remember name) is lovely, as were the resort activity leaders Issa and Bobo. Made the trip slightly more enjoyable. Hotel manager Nadia is very rude and when things went missing from our room we were told to either make a police report against whoever we believed it to be or drop it. Head of cleaning staff was also very rude. The general shop in the hotel is cute enough for souvenirs with a selection of argon oil products that are actually quite nice. Not too overpriced depending on what you’re getting. The shoe shop was nothing special. Overall, apart from being looking aesthetically pleasing, there is really nothing much going for this hotel. It is in the middle of nowhere, with the pool being the main attraction, with average looking rooms, rude and unhelpful staff, bland and repetitive food and no wifi. I would not recommend unless you can speak Arabic or French as the language barrier was a huge issue here, so unless you can communicate to leave the hotel, don’t stay here!
Fab hotel and holiday, would go back tomorrow
the hotel may be a little tired in places but it is still stunning, the grounds , reception, foyer, pool area and garden areas are absolutely beautiful and well looked after. the rooms are clean, very comfortable beds and a very powerful shower, they are cleaned and tidied daily and a fresh bottle of water provided. Food - bloody amazing, how anyone could complain is beyond me, there is so much choice it's untrue, 2 or 3 meat dishes and a couple of fish dishes every lunch and dinner, all replaced soon as emptied, and 2 soups, massive salad bar, various vegetable dishes, large range of bread and rolls and fab deserts, I am Coeliac so sadly couldn't have the breads or most of the deserts (I'd have loved those fresh donuts cooked every morning at breakfast!) but I still had so much choice and the chef came out every lunch and dinner to let me now what I couldn't have. All the staff in the restaurant and bars were really lovely. drinks also huge choice, beer, wine, spirits, cocktails as well as tea, coffee and juice. Free wifi is available all over the hotel with loads of lovely comfy seating areas and also all over the huge patio & pool area which is a stunning area with loads of sunbeds also available, the outdoor pools were not heated but were spotlessly cleaned. Free shuttle bus to the medina runs on a regular basis, we didn't ask for directions but it's pretty obvious and barely a 2 minute walk away, crossing the road even on the zebra crossing is a bit hair raising though but this is Morocco! Overall a fab holiday, hotel, food, everything was much better than we expected for the price we paid, I'd go back in an instant The hotel is out on it's own, it clearly states that so we knew before we went, there are many trips available if you want to explore further and the animation team provide a huge amount of entertainment all day and during the evening if you prefer to stay on site,we went primarily for rest and relaxation and glorious weather, high 20's every day even in early March
Not Happy, disaster!
From the moment we arrived we had trouble with the whole complex. Because of our late take off from stanstead we arrived at Le Sango after 9:30pm. That meant we had nothing to eat until the morning. The food is diabolical, bland and random. Nothing even resembles traditional Moroccan dishes, let alone international dishes. WIFI DOES NOT WORK UNLESS YOU ARE EITHER BY THE POOL OR IN RECEPTION. Can’t use it in your rooms!! Drinks are very limited. This is not what I call all inclusive. It’s a complete let down as this could have been a lovely place but they do not specify anything online, it’s very deceiving. Room attendants walk in your room without you asking for your room to be tidied whilst you are in the shower. When arrived at 9:30pm there was no food left in the hotel but if you are all inclusive food should be 24/7 regardless. They made us play for delivery of Mcdonalds at night with the wrong order.
DO NOT COME HERE
Where do I start the hotel is absolutely horrible, food is atrocious and cold, very limited on drinks and food with the all inclusive, hotel bedsheets unclean pics online of the hotel are very deceiving staff porters very rude chuck luggage around and snatch money from your hands without you even giving or offering, NO WI-FI IN BEDROOMS no onsite entertainment this is more of a mature adult situated complex If you arrive after after 9.30pm you WILL NOT GET ANY FOOD AT ALL from soft apples and banana, getting into the city is around 100DH when ordering food on the first night from Mc Donald’s they didn’t deliver what was on the photo that we ordered charge a 95DH charge I most deffo WOULDNT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE HONESTLY
I was very happy with my visit
Yes this is not a 5 star hotel but you’re not paying the price to expect it to be. Me and my Mum stayed a week in this hotel in February and we both had a brilliant time. The hotel is traditional and absolutely beautiful yes some of it is tired looking and could do with a paint however that doesn’t take away from it’s beauty. The rooms are basic but it has everything you need everything works, the beds were comfy and the shower was powerful and hot. Our room was tidied and cleaned everyday and we were provided bottled water everyday and there was a fridge to keep it cool. The pool was beautiful and there is a water slide too, the indoor pool is heated and both are clean. The Spa has lots to offer me and my mum booked a package which included a body scrub and wash, face mask, Moroccan tea, hot tub and full body massage which was detailed and very good, all of this was only €50 each. The food was okay. There’s a range of food each day most days are similar but there is choices. The salad bar is large and fresh and there’s a choice of tagines each day. The desserts are beautiful and impressive. The staff in the restaurant are very quick to look after you and clean up. A special mention to Salah in the bar who never let my mum go without an ash tray and cleared our glasses as soon as they were finished. The excursions we booked at the hotel were very good we went up the Atlas Mountains, through the markets and to the gardens all of our guides were exceptional and very informative. The animation team are the ones who really made the holiday. They work tirelessly from morning to night. They provide activities to do in the day including table tennis, badminton, Arabic lessons, yoga, aqua aerobics, water polo and Moroccan tea demonstration. They also do a show each night which consists of different dances and sketches. One night they provided karaoke in the bar and the other nights they got people up dancing which I particularly enjoyed as a dancer myself. I got to learn new styles and got spun round the floor. Special mention to Issa who was very nice and made the experience extra special.
