Riad Qodwa

I spent 7 nights in Riad Qodwa and enjoyed my stay completeley. Very beautiful garden area with a nice swimmingpool - a quiet and peaceful location with a beautiful view on the atlas mountains. The whole staff is very friendly, helpful and competent. The Riad is clean and tidy. The outdoor area offers plenty of room to sit comfortable and quiet. Perfect for me to combine work with holiday. There is also a free shuttle service provided by the Riad to Marrakech. Good price performance ratio. I will certainly come back!

It is not a 4 star hotel, it is a class1 riad, we checked with the gov of tourism in marrakech and they said that this riad qodwa doesn't have stars as a riad(hostel) , only class 2 does. It is a horrible place. they write on the website that they have lots of facilties as golf inside swimming pool,salle se jeux, spa, but they don't exist,dirty place, rude and aggressive staff I paid £418 +local tax and they refuse to give me my money back, and therefore thinking that I never stayed in hotels before,as they thaugh that they own a 4*BUT it is actually a hostel and I don't put my family in a dirty place like that with non respectful staff. And with no facilities +outside marrakech. They wreck our holiday with their lying to attract people to book something completely different then they put in agoda. Don't make mistake and book this hostel. it is terrible, horrible hotel with RUDE AND AGRESSIVE Staff, DIRTY HOSTEL,peeple SMOKING cannabis behind the kitchen, a lady washing clothes in the place where it suppose to be kids park and drying the towels in the swing. You can see the small utility room in the garden all dirty and the towels and sheets on the floor.no higiene When my husband start taking pictures, a man holding a stick close the gate and the receptionist came and force my husband to remove all the pictures,and drop the phone, crack the screen. the kids were cried and screamed. luckily I found a copy of the pictures in icloud. We have been harassed and threatened. We left the place super quick,straight away to the police station to report them. and they have been surprised how his hostel called themselves a hotel. I went to the delegate of tourism in marrakech with the police statement, we told them what happened. They have been surprise how they can cheat and how they harm the tourism they Confirm it that is a class1 and they don't get stars.they took it as a serious matter. And I hope that this place will close soon

We are family from the uk we booked this Riad godwa as a 4star hotel with suppose to have a facility for kids and adult “outside pool,outside pool,3,5 kilometers of golf course,spa,play ground for kids ,kids fun park,kids Club ,animation,message, free WiFi,family rooms........etc like what any basic 4star hotel have even he advertise that he is 11 kilometers from city of marrakach with free transfer and car hire and free parking.....etc when we arrived to marrakach we spend 4hours locking for this hotel and it’s in the outskirts of marrakach 27 miles away from central and airport old country side entry no lights in the roadside it was very scary we arrived outside this country house with a small gate we couldn’t believe it a wee sign saying welcome to Riadh godwa we thought no no can’t be but no harm go and ask may be we lost again we drove inn and from 1seen was horrendous this old filthy house and there is a 4to 6 man on a table smoking marawana canabis and the smell was terrible and 2ladys washing same clothes in a basket and put them in top of a olive trees 1of the approach us and we asked about this “4star hotel “ and he confirmed that yes we are in the place and he confirmed that yes the booking is here we are shocked the kids upset so I asked can I see the place from the inside maybe better so he take us inn to the lobby it was a dirty smell of food dump and mraoina with a small old desk and two filthy black sofas from 1side and 5 old tables on the other side with a filthy cooker that is the restaurant for breakfast There is steps every where not safety for kid what so ever we asked for the the outside pool and it’s small filthy water with filthy plastic tables and soround the pool it’s sand and mock the kids started crying and upset we asked for the inside heated pool as advertised and he said no they don’t have1 and the rooms it’s going to be too different separate rooms as they don’t have a room fitting the family and the toilet it’s outside the rooms means sharing I refuse and told him sorry we not staying here and this not what we booked her went to his mobile fone and called same1 and he offered us a hostol in the old madina I asked can he show me same photo of it so he did and it was horrible very old house and fro the pictures he show me it’s a joke so I decided to leave and told no thanks I will take it with the agency a done my booking with at that point he Chang his attitude and told me ok just leave in aggressive words my wife grapet her fone to take pictures of the place then they show us the real of them screaming in front of kids get out leave don’t take pictures of anything but we continue taking pictures he started calling his mates and they cam with a stick and we went back to the car to leave they close the gates on us and treating us by not delate the photos and kicked the car with foot and stick and we are in fear and kids skilining frightening and he grap my phone of me after a assault and forced me to take the photos off my fone and kicked me I was banging for my life and my family finally the gate opens and we drove off in speed and we went straight to a police station and made a frightiing assault statement and they bring him inn under caution and retrieve my brocking fone back and this man started to ask I form mercy and forgive ness and that he have kids but no mercy

It not a hotel it is a 1 room in a house that’s why they always have only 1room left,it is a disaster,it is a scam,very dirty,very far,staff are very rude ,it was awful ,I don’t stay there not even if they get me paid.we want there to check in and we said we are not staying ,we tried to take picture ,they didn’t let us ,they close the gate and won’t let us leave and they broke my husband phone .they treat as so bad and scare our kids,we report them to the police and to the gig of tourism and they said it is class 1 and shouldn’t call themselves as a hotel.be aware nothing of the amenities exist no golf no inside pool no spa no taxi nothing,it is a scam try to take your money and when you contact the company that you booked with,they refuse to give the money back

Very careful very bad hostol in the middle of no where all review are a scams very bad hostol no facilities but stinking dirty filthy small house with small pool nothing else the smell of cannabis every where please careful or you will be stranded in Marrakech like me with family
