On first sight, this getaway is stunning. Beautiful well lit pool, various areas inside and outside you can chill in, cushions, rugs, seats all around. Chickens roam around as does a peacock and sometimes a dog. All very tranquil. You are in the middle of nowhere. If you are looking for an unconventional hotel this is it. You feel as if you are staying in someones house. Of course, this comes with a slight downside and that came from the food and menu variety. The first night I ordered a chicken tagine - expecting to have chicken and vegetables in the traditional way, but to my surprise it was dry chicken and chips! We had salmon one evening which was nice but when we ordered that again it was not available. There was no wine - the only alcohol on offer was beer or vodka. However, the staff did organise to get a bottle of wine in for the following evening. We stayed for three nights and unfortunately we were kept awake by barking dogs outside of the property (obviously this is not the fault of the hotel but be prepared - bring ear plugs!). Umaima did an outstanding job but she was really the only member of staff serving a number of guests and therefore she was rushed off her feet. Not enough staff helping her out .

A very beautiful and calm place for a romantique or a family escape. A 10/10 for the delicious food, the hospitality of the staff, the welcoming that was above the expectations. A really nice, peaceful and clean villa where u can forget about all the stress and noise of the city. I highly recommend especially for couples.

LOVELY VILLA IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

We had a really nice relaxing stay at the Villa Jnan. Very comfortable room with a big balcony and super view of the Atlas Mountains.
We enjoyed the chickens that roam around the gardens and Mr Wagster, the friendly dog. Not to mention to cat with her litter of tiny kittens.
The negatives are few: the pool was absolutely freezing and very heavy on the chlorine.
The sun beds were mega uncomfortable but we think that they were being replaced shortly after our stay.
There is a Nespresso coffee machine in the room but we were astonished to be told that there was a charge of £2.50 per coffee pod. We paid a visit to the nearby Carrefour and bought ourselves a supply of Nespresso compatible pods.
It would have been really nice to have a parasol on the balcony as it was always too hot to sit outside at the table.
The staff, led by Hamid, were all lovely. Hamid was wonderfully helpful, brought us delicious meals, freshly squeezed orange juice and figs straight off the tree. And organised a nice trip to the Ourika Valley.
Great experience, thank you Hamid!

We drove in the dark to this place and it is very hard to find for the first time, as its not a common road that goes to the villa. We called the reception to ask for directions and they sent us someone on a motor to lead us to the villa. When you arrive at the place it looks very beautiful and Moroccan. It is in the middle of nowhere, so you have a lot of privacy. We booked a room with a twin bed an we got our own private villa, which looked very cool and clean. Special thanks to Hamid, the waiter who is very happy to share all his information and recommendations about Morocco. He is very friendly and willing to do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. When we arrived at the villa, the cook had already left, but we had not have dinner yet. We asked Hamid if it would be still possible to eat something and he prepared a dish for us, which was very kind. We had a laundry bag with clothes, as we travel through the whole of Morocco and asked him if we could get this cleaned. He said no problem and told us it will be ready the day after. We went to the Medina in Marrakesh and when we came back, we found all our clothes washed and folded nicely in our room already. The garden has a big swimming pool and looks romantic, with lights and candles everywhere. Its a perfect place to relax and there are also Spa & Hammam facilities, but we didn’t use those. The villa is located 21 km’s from the city center of Marrakesh, which is about half an hour driving. We really liked our stay and I would recommend you to visit this villa if you are looking for a place to relax, after visiting the busy city center of Marrakesh.
