Disappointing Experience
This was my first time staying at a Motel 6, and the experience was very disappointing. My father and I were in need of affordable accommodations within the Boston area, and we chose the Motel 6 in Brockton due to its access to the freeway, and its appealing price. Having glanced at the images on the website, I had a fairly good idea of what to expect from Motel 6. Unfortunately, what the pictures were not able to convey was problematic. Upon arriving, I was fairly pleased by the well-lit nature of the parking lot. The exterior was definitely nothing to write home about, but there was nothing that caused me to raise an eyebrow- yet, that is. Immediately upon walking in, we were hit by an overwhelming odor of smoke. Glancing around at the bare-bones lobby did not induce any additional concern, and we took a deep breath as we approached the check-in area. Check-in was an easy experience, and we had our key in a matter of minutes. As we prepared to board the elevator, we heard dogs barking from rooms on the first level. Thankfully, there were no barking dogs on our floor, but the pungent smell of smoke was even worse on the upper floor where our room was. The smell was so overpowering that it was even prevalent in the room. Hoping to circulate the smoke-filled air, we turned on the air conditioning unit in the room which was old, run-down, and had clearly not been maintained in quite some time. The room itself was fairly bare-bones, and the flooring was quite nice despite its simplicity. Unfortunately, every other aspect of the room was underwhelming. The beds were not uncomfortable, but the duvet was lined with burn marks from cigarettes. The bathroom was satisfactory, but the towels and toiletries were poor. The towels were very poor quality, and the two bars of soap were underwhelming and were also very poor quality. As the night progressed, the level of noise in the hallways and neighboring rooms prevented us from having a restful night's sleep. There was yelling, and obnoxious laughing that lasted until the early hours of the morning. By the time the morning arrived, my father and I had enough and expressed how disappointing our experience was to the agent at the front desk, who issued us a full refund and canceled the remainder of our reservation. My jacket wreaked of smoke for quite some time, and overall, our stay was very disappointing. I would recommend finding a better hotel that endorses their policies as it pertains to smoking and loud noise late in the night.
This place is a dump
No fridge, no microwave, no ice machine that i saw, no extra towels ,pillow sucks, the shower linen stinks. As soon as you walk in to this place is stinks of cigarettes . STAY AWAY!!! HOTWIRE.COM chose this hotel for me. Stay away from that website also! hope this helps
Worst stay ever
Show up after driving all day to come in and have to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to the counter. Then get our room to have the beds not made. They are quite literally bare, no blankets. Nothing. Place is a pit.
Total Disappointment
we stayed at this Motel 6 after the Jimmy Buffet concert in Mansfield, MA. We always stay at Model 6 and have come to expect excellent service and clean rooms. The Motel 6 in Brockton, was disgusting, smelled bad and had no towels, wash cloths or soap or shampoo. Bed linens were clean but no additional covers or anything. We called the front desk and were told to come down and get them. I did and the guy/manager could not find the keys for the towels/linen storage room He said they would send someone to the other motel (Super 8) next door but we never got any towels. We did not shower, we slept and left, This place does not at all reflect the brand and I would never recommend anyone stay here. I do not blame the staff, (one manager and one security guard), they tried to help us. It is obvious there is not management support for this motel.
Motel 6 Set-up Wyndham Rewards App before checking in, cause points add upfor rewards.
Sign up for the Wyndham Rewards App plus any account it's worth saving the points nightly, but create an account before checking in. Motel 6 and hotel 8 both are covered by the card. I thought the employees were nice, helpful n knowledgeable. The $79 we paid for a queen size bed, no smoking, the WiFi didn't allow me too use my Chromecast, which I was disappointed about, but the tv didn't have a lot of channels that came in well. There was coffee, juice, cereal and muffins in the morning which was nice. That night there was 3 police drug raids, & an overdose, so that sort of showsthe type of people who stay there and are around. I suggest you go to Motel 8 its worth it.
