Unhelpful, unsightly and unstocked
Opinión escrita el 11 de Julio de 2021
The front office staff are unhelpful. Upon arrival at 2:30 pm I was told that check in is at 4:00 pm even though the sign on the wall says it’s 3:00 pm. I was forced to sit in the lobby for an hour and a half.
While the room comes with a huge refrigerator and a cooktop, there are no utensils, pots, pans, plates or glasses to use… you have to bring all of your own stuff… or buy things at the front counter.
The carpets in the hallway are unsightly and highly soiled. The place has the feel of a halfway house.
Worst hotel for the money I have ever stayed in.

We had never stayed in a WoodSpring hotel previously; however, we often stay in Choice Hotels so we thought we would give it a try for one night during our travels. This hotel is by far and away the worst hotel for the money I have ever stayed at. Imagine a Motel 6 with less amenities for double the price. Want coffee in your room in the morning, you have to buy a coffee maker at the front desk for $19.99 and go find a grocery store to buy coffee and extras. There is a small kitchenette, but of course, no plates, utensils, glasses, etc. You do get 2 bath towels, but no hand towels and one wash cloth. You do not need a wake-up call, there are the cheapest white plastic venetian blinds on the window so as soon as the sun rises your room is so bright you will wake up whether you want to or not. Perhaps you would like a place to sit and play cards or a game at night, you guessed it, no such table or chairs are available. Take a dip in the pool- nope, no pool. And you get all of this for just a whisker under $100/night. I would expect far more from a Choice Hotel, guess they never bother to take a look at this particular WoodSpring.
WiFi should be free
Opinión escrita el 16 de Abril de 2021
It's a relatively new hotel so the rooms are clean and everything works good. However, the two things I didn't like is that there are no king beds and you get charged for fast WiFi service. I'm a bigger fella so I prefer king beds so I can sprawl out and lay my laptop next to me while I sleep. They also charge $8/day for "faster" WiFi even though it's not blazing fast at all. Even roach motels have free WiFi these days.
On the upside, the A/C worked really good. Every room has a full-size fridge (w/freezer) and microwave, along with a stovetop, so you can tell this place is designed for weekly and monthly rentals. There is also a lot of space for storing clothes and other things in shelf cubbies. There is plenty of parking but it does get crowded at night. There are restaurants like McDonald's and Starbucks nearby. It was very quiet at night. A lot of contractors stay here so you will see work trucks in the parking lot.
Good for a budget hotel

The main thing to remember is this a budget friendly hotel.
Pros: It was clean and spacious. There was lots of storage. It had a full size fridge, a large microwave, 2 stove top burners, a large tv with a good selection of channels, a large bathroom with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The staff was friendly and responsive. The QUEEN size beds were comfortable and firm, The pillows and mattress were in a case for cleanliness, no carpet( cleaner, but colder on the feet), It had a true thermostat, plenty of outlets, and for us, pet friendly with a large field behind the hotel.
Cons: no ice machine ( ice trays in freezer), curtains on the windows (mini blinds), in room coffee maker (coffee in the lobby), pots and pans, and hair dryer. The pillows and blankets were thin. There was an odor in our room( we opened the window for a little bit), and another odor in the elevator.
And 2 safety issues, there was a trash can blocking the fire door for the elevator and the back door didn't close properly.
Cons the management couldn't help: the whole hallway smelled of pot (all rooms were non smoking). People didn't clean up after their dog in that big field. ( it frustrates me that some dog people can be so irresponsible.)
You just need to know what to expect when you get there and decide what is important to you.

2 rooms reserved. Got to hotel front desk girl was great but the rooms were not. The 1st room had 1 bed not made. The 2 room the air didn't work. 3rd room was very dirty bathroom had hair and trash on floor. 4th room had no shower curtain. All rooms were not cleaned properly. Hall floors were full of mud . There were trash cans when u stepped of the elevator. The 2nd floor trash can was over full with trash on the outside and the 3rd floor trash can smelled very bad. The was no one at the front desk after 9pm and very shady people outside and inside. There were dogs barking on the 2nd floor. I felt so sorry for the girl at the front desk she did so good at finally finding us two rooms that weren't dirty or were acceptable. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend anyone to stay here. I would like some to contact me about this stay. I work at a 2 star hotel as well
There is no excuse for a hotel room not to be cleaned let alone 5 rooms being dirty. We were ready to go eat and relax but took over an hour to get rooms that were half way clean.
