Nice and clean small hotel

Reviewed 1 may, 2019

When we arrived there was some hair on the bed sheets. We complained and the whole sheets were changed immediately! Except for that the room and bathroom were extremely clean and were cleaned every day during our stay. Also, the room was quite big. The included breakfast (eggs and toast/arepa, fruits, juice, coffee/tea) was good but nothing special. The hotel has great Wifi and the staff was very friendly and helpful! All in all, the hotel offers great value for money!

Great Location and Services. Avoid Noisy Rooms Up Front

Reviewed 22 december, 2018

Have stayed here before when staying the the Plabado district of Medellin (near Park Lleras). Nice small hotel with good breakfast and WiFi included. Right in the middle of the nightlife, restaurant action around Park Lleras. That said, do not stay in room 206 when overlooks the street. Thumping music until 2 or 3 am. And traffic noise at other times. Would stay here again. Great value at around $31 per night for a couple.

Great location

Reviewed 28 october, 2018

First, I have to say that the staff was amazing. Everyone spoke either good English, or at least passable English. They were friendly and polite and very helpful. The Location was excellent. It's close to Parque Lleras and there are scores of restaurants, cafes, bars, and hostels all around. A lot of tourists, but mainly of the backpacker variety, so you don't feel like you're in a plastic resort somewhere. The accommodations were a little rough. It had the bare necessities (which was all I really needed). The room was clean and well cared for. Housekeeping was excellent. They provide breakfast for a charge, which I never tried. The bed was so hard it was almost funny. This is not hyperbole, it was like sleeping on a table. There wasn't a place in my room to hang up or store any clothes, no closet, clothes rack, dresser, not even hooks to hang a jacket. There was an air conditioner which worked very well, and a television. The water was almost always hot. A couple of times it got to lukewarm when too many guest were showering at the same time, I imagine. Water pressure in the shower was decent. This is more of a budget hotel. If you want to be more comfortable you can probably find a "regular" hotel for not too much more money if you shop around.

Basic hotel in a great location

Reviewed 8 may, 2018

Just returned from a two day stay at Casa. The location of the hotel is its main draw. The hotel is located in Parque Lleras, in the Zona Rosa of Medellin, an area known for its many stores, restaurants, and bars. The hotel is OK. There are several things to note. First, there is a 50,000 pesos deposit at check-in. We were told that we would be charged if make-up was found on our towels. If you are a woman who wears make-up, beware! Second, the beds are quite hard, possibly the hardest I've ever slept in. Third, if you're staying with friends, it's important to note that the shower and sink are not in a separate room. If you book a room with three beds, one of the three beds will be incredibly close to the sink and shower. If privacy is a concern, book separate rooms. Finally, there's the noise. We were given a room facing the street, so it was incredibly loud at night. While this was not an issue for us, we did notice several guests complaining about the noise. This is not a hotel for light sleepers.

Adequate, But There Are Better Options in the Area

Reviewed 6 september, 2017

This is the second time I've stayed her in a year. The location is great, the staff are great, the WiFi works in the rooms and the breakfast, while simple, is fine. But that's about it. We rented a triple room this time with 3 beds so we'd have room to open our bags on the other 2 beds. Despite the large room, the bathroom was pretty small and not very nice. The beds are very hard, so be aware - some like this and some don't. The room (104) is advertised as having a "balcony", but that is not true. Just a window that opens to the courtyard. And it is of no value. You can't leave the window open or anyone in the courtyard could just reach in and take your things. I expected more for the price. NOTES: Lots of nightlife in the neighborhood. And 2 blocks away at Park Lleras. The domestic airport (Enrique Olaya Herrera) is just 10 min away by taxi. Very convenient for an early flight. The International airport (Jose Maria Cordoba) is about 40 min away by taxi) Room Tip: Away from the noisy street (lots of nightlife in the area) The low handing light fixture in the lobby is a HAZARD for anyone 183 cm or taller. I hit it twice. They should raise that thing or replace it!
