Was at La Rosa 4 nights
Only reason I stayed here was a friend had 2 nights credit, and I needed a place for 4 nights and did not feel like moving. Thought it was high priced for what it was. The last night I asked them to have a TAXI for a ride to the airport at 6 AM and they had a high priced private car arrive. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. Was clean, shower was ok. AC worked. I liked the area. Staff was great.
Enjoyed our stay close to a lot
We had two large rooms with accommodations for 10 of us, we had our own floor. The front desk personnel was always very attentive, friendly and full of recommendations as to how to get places. The hotel itself is cute and quaint nothing special or fancy. Everything was clean, the pool area is nice, for a large party with five kids we enjoyed our stay. This zone is the nicest zone, higher end and more of the quiet side - we were able to walk to parks, coffee shops, restaurants, convenience stores. Some of te nearby hotels open their terraces or restaurants at night for dancing (for adults) all have private security and most have valets. This hotel specifically was good for our family stay.
Price Does Not Match Service
This hotel is overpriced for the level of service. I've had better service at hostels. I'm disappointed I splurged to stay at this hotel. Pros: Located on a tree-lined street at the end of Poblado, so it's quiet About a 3 minute walk to the 3 restaurant streets Clean Breakfast included Cons: Front desk staff is not helpful. Indifferent to reqeuests and helping guests. Often told to wait next day for "manager" to get answers. Not helpful for planning purposes Located at least a 20 minute walk from Poblado metro stop up an incline No hairdryer Disappearing towels. I was missing hand towels and a floor towel most of my stay. Housekeeping would leave them 1 day then not the next Breakfast isn't super tasty Hallways and breakfast areas echo noise into the rooms No late checkout
The hotel is situated in a quiet area, only five minutes walk from the restaurant area. Rooms are a little small, but are clean and tidy. The girl on reception in the afternoons was delightful, and helpful with booking tours and checking in flights. Good breakfast with eggs, cereals, yoghurt, fruit and breads with butter and jams. Fruit juice, chocolate, coffee or tea.
Perfect Location for exploring Medellin
Located in the tourist area of El Poblado, this is the perfect base for exploring medellin. The hotel itself is a few minutes walk away loads of cool bars and restaurants and a 10-15 minute walk to El Poblado train station. The hotel itself was nice, the staff were very accommodating with one staff member even going to the bus station to pick up tickets for us. The room was spacious and clean, and the shower was really good. Breakfast was traditional Colombian arepas with eggs, and probably some of the best coffee I had in the whole of colombia. We managed to get the hotel on a deal for about £80 for 2 nights. You can get way cheaper accommodation very close by of the same quality so just keep that in mind if you are on a budget. I would definitely recommend staying here.
