Should be cleaner
Showers need alot of attention and the front desk room needs some better upkeep. Parking lot was excellent. Shower heads full of funk. Shower drains clogged up. Stayed here twice in one month. Same issues both times
Don't stay here. But if you do, take a gallon of sanitizer with you. Filthiest hotel Ive ever stayed in. Curtains torn and hanging off the window. Cigarette butts and other debris on the carpet. Sink faucet busted and sprayimg water everwhere. Half the lights didn't work. Sheets and towels were dingy and stained. Beds were like trampolines. NO TOILET PAPER! Wyndham should be ashamed! I realize this is a place for travelers on a budget, but come on. The place should at the very least sanitary. Enough said. Get it together! Heath department, shut this dump down!
Days Inn in Midland, TX
Do not stay at this place! It was just plain nasty. Room smelled like sewer, everything dirty, holes in walls, heater worked but it smelled really bad. Stopped up shower tub, lavatory smelled like sewer. Food in dresser drawer. We went out & purchased draino, vinager, sheets, blankets, air freshner, shower soap, hand soap. Oh, and we paid over $80 for ths dump.
Property is a dump. Layout is weird, internet sucks, no central AC. I get that the market in Midland/Odessa is insane, but I would have paid $50 or less for this room in Dallas or Houston, but paid almost $100 in Midland.
Should have read the reviews first
If the price is too good to be true, it usually isn't worth it. That was the case here. Upon arrival the clerk was rude. Nothing nice to say. Seemed like I was interrupting whatever she was doing on her phone. Room wasn't the cleanest we've ever been in. But not filthy. Was very unplanned. Furniture just thrown in where it would fit. Bugs in the bathroom. Breakfast was the minimum. Served in a corner closet and tables set up in the atrium where the temperature was slightly above 40. Swimming pool was closed. Missing tiles and water green. In an area where hotel rooms are scarce because of the oil field workers, this one is empty and that should have said a lot to us.
