Beautiful room with comfortable beds. Room and bathroom were clean and neat. Parking directions could be given with booking as is street parking or a parking garage behind hotel that was labeled as 3 hour parking but we were assured it was ok. Staff was friendly and loved that you needed hotel key to run elevator to guest floors. As 2 females traveling in unfamiliar area we felt safe!
Excellent Hotel, Highly Recommend It

We have stayed at many hotels in the U.S.and around the world, and this one was especially nice. The quality of service, friendliness and support of staff, buffet and food options, and cleanliness of room were everything we'd want. Very positive experience, felt like home.

Fabulous legacy hotel in Moline that is convenient to all Quad Cities. Lobby and grand area very welcoming and rooms are unique and comfortable. Avoid the usual and run to the property . Easy street parking without any hassle. Lobby bar lounge very cool with good selection and knowledgable servers staff
Would rate it a 5, however.....

This is an amazing renovation to this building, a fine hotel and all employees encountered were friendly. I would normally give it the highest rating. However, there is a state-wide mandate in Illinois to wear face masks when indoors. We saw that at grocery stores as well as various restaurants (except when eating of course). There is absolutely NO mask adherence at this property, from either guests nor any employee we encountered, including those working the breakfast buffet. Guests could serve themselves from the buffet on Sunday morning without wearing a face mask as well - and none were wearing a mask, which made us wait until non-masked guests were seated so we could feel half-way safe to choose our items from the buffet. I asked a couple employees (in various areas and I won't identify which areas because I don't want to get them in any trouble), but I was told the hotel ownership has pretty much given a "middle finger" to the state as far as the mask mandate. With an attitude like that, it's no wonder the Delta variant is spreading so rapidly. Of course guests should also take it upon themselves to be respectful to others and wear a mask in public areas, but among the guests at two wedding parties, we didn't see anyone who wore a face mask. Besides this disappointment for guest and employee safety, I have to say that every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful and again, the hotel itself is very cool. If the hotel required masks, I'd certainly go back. Hopefully the next trip to the Quad Cities Covid/Delta variant will be over and it won't be a concern. Lastly, we had to leave a day early and as a result, they increased the nightly rate on the two nights we were there. I am a Diamond Hilton Honors member and realize the hotel can do that if you check out a day early, but it would have been nice if we were told that was going to happen when we checked in.
The Axis Hotel is a must stay in Moline.

This 1920's vintage hotel was a great place to stay as my wife and I attended an event at the Tax Stayer Center. It's a short 4-5 block walk. The hotel security is excellent. You need your room card to access doors entering the building and elevator to your room. The king room we had was really awesome. The hallways were beautiful and the buffet breakfast (free to Diamond VIP) was very nice. Plenty of bars and restaurant within a short walk. Entrance to the parking garage for hotel guest is off of 16th avenue. We will return. This property is beautiful and well maintained!
