Plaza Prices and Motel Six Service
Opinión escrita el 28 de octubre de 2021
Room decor was tired and worn, and the lamp outside the door and the inside of windows were covered in cobwebs and spiders' eggs. Bed was uncomfortable and unsupported and we couldn't figure out the thermostat system. The "grab-and-go" breakfast consisted of an inedible muffin, and tiny cups of yogurt, granola and fruit. There was no housekeeping unless requested, not even to empty wastebaskets. I understand that Covid has impacted the staffing of many hotels, but the Inn shouldn't charge luxury prices if the service offered is inferior to a standard motel. We will NOT be staying there again.
Great stay, in spite of minor breakfast miscommunications

We loved the Inn at Montchanin Village. We stayed in Carpenter D. The rooms are located in a series of small independent houses with around 4 rooms each. This gives some privacy and a unique atmosphere. Our room was on the 3d floor, first floor rooms seem to have a small patio or garden. The room is well layed out, with a coffee and tea maker some water (the supply cpuld have been tailored better to the length of stay), and a spacious bathroom. The room had all we needed, with a few comfortable chairs and a desk. Currently the Inn offers grab-and-go breakfast during the week. In the weekend, which was when we visited, you need to go to the crazy catz restaurant. The breakfast/brunch is outstanding. But they dont offer a seperate breakfast anymore. This is something the Inn doesn't communicate well. They should inform you that you need to reserve for brunch (or offer to make that reservation for you) at the Crazy Catz, which starts at 10am. This lack of communication created a bit of a hassle for us the first day, given our pans to visit various ttractions in the area. Nonetheless, we had a great time, getting up a bit later is not a problem and the brunch is perfect. The Inn is very close to many attractions in the Bradywine Valley and we recommend it highly.
A lovely inn

We had a very comfortable room and liked the layout. The entry area between the bedroom and bath had a nice small refrigerator that made ice and there was a cupboard with some nice dishes and silverware. We got takeout from Krazy Katz because the restaurant was fully booked but it was nice to not have to eat out of the containers with plastic silverware. Breakfast was grab and go but was quite good, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, and a muffin. They have coffee and tea available in the lobby but also have a Keurig machine in the room. They have a really nice lounge in the main building. The location is great for visiting the DuPont mansions. We’ll stay here again as it was so nice.

We stayed n the Coleman Room. The temperature could not be regulated. The air would not turn on and we opened the windows, but there was no breeze to cool the room. The temperature stayed at 78 degrees. The drain in the bathtub and sink moved very slowly. The grab and go breakfast was extremely minimal.
Excellent Inn/Beautiful Area

This inn was superb. It is in the Historic List of Hotels that you realize the moment you walk into the lobby. Our room was not ready so we waited in the main living area of the building. The room has a huge fireplace that starts burning in October. The furniture in this room was stunning and quite old. Once our room was ready we crossed the road: across from the lobby and entered our quaint room. The bedroom was charming and bed very comfortable. There was also a microwave, refrigerator glasses, silverware. Bathroom was spacious and very clean. This area had a feel of Williamsburg to it. Area around in is beautiful and so much to explore
