Avoid at all costs along with sister property

Brash, rude, incompetent General Manager - Arceli runs this hotel along with the Econolodge nearby with questionable practices.
I made a mistake during my stay by booking for only one night instead of the entire week. I came back shocked to find that my food in the fridge had been improperly handled and my personal unpacked toiletries had been thrown away. My luggage had been removed from the room and no one made any effort to contact me prior to taking action.
They never apologized.

My friend and I stayed one night while driving the coast. The general manager was very friendly and offered water/granola bars upon check-in. Our room was updated and clean. Nice selection for breakfast. Only downfall was the placement of the shower head. I’m 5’6” and my head came above the shower head, so showering was slightly awkward but made it work! Thank you!
One third the cost of the nearby Hyatt with similar amenities. A diamond in the rough!!!

My wife and I stayed here instead of the Hyatt just a mile away where our Monterey Swingfest dance convention was being held. Last year we stayed at the Hyatt where the prices were triple the cost at the Quality Inn. At the Quality Inn we slept in a much more comfortable bed, the door to the bathroom didn't fall off its track, the door to the refrigerator didn't fall off, and it wasn't 600 feet to get to the hotel office and and the expensive breakfast in the morning. Sure, the appearance of the Quality looks like a motel, but so does the Hyatt in Monterey. We stayed at the Quality Inn Wednesday through Sunday night and enjoyed much more peace and quiet in a larger suite at 1/3 the cost. It was a bargain!!!

They called me to confirm appointment which was good. The morning breakfast if cereal etc plus warm food. When I was at the hotel they had cheese omelettes and sausage which is great for the price. The staff were very nice.
Good customer service

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Although the walls were thin, there was plenty of light and room. I thought I'd misplaced a necklace there (which I later found) and the management searched the room for it and asked housekeeping. Very nice of them. The breakfast was the better chain motel version with cheese omelettes, sausage, waffle machine, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. We were there on a weeknight in the winter,,,so very inexpensive.
