The staff made everything right
Modern/upscale hotel right across from the Ramblas, the sign and the beach. Walking distance to a large shopping center and restaurants. It was hot in Uruguay and so was our room. When things go wrong, and it happens to every hotel, what matters is how the staff addresses it. Katherine sent a fan to our large, beautiful room that we refused to move from for the first night. Not enough. So the second night we agreed to move to a suite, taking the fan along with us. Huge, beautiful room. We were comfortable. Marcia at the front desk sent us to a great Italian restaurant for lunch. What great advice. Panini was beautiful and the food delicious. The problems we had at the breakfast were mainly our own fault with our lack of Spanish. Adequate buffet but hot dishes were not warm. But with much "discussion" we found we could order omelettes. All in all, because of the great staff, we would return on our next trip.

The front desk staff was beyond helpful arranging activities due to our limited Spanish; special thanks to Emiliano. Breakfast was all one could ask for and facilities were very good, including exercise room and lap pool.
Beautiful Montevideo
Great hotel , beautiful and centrally located , large room with a great view across the street from the Montevideo iconic sign and with in walking distance to a major shopping center and local restaurants
Terrific hotel on the Rambla and across from the Montevideo sign
The hotel is located just across the street from the Playa de los Pocitos and the large tourist sign for Montevideo. You can stroll along the Rambla, the promenade which borders the coastline and enjoy the view of the beach and the people enjoying it. There is a bus stop located a few blocks from the property or you can arrange a tour with Viator or directly through your hotel concierge. The hotel staff are terrific and very helpful. We wanted to go find an ATM to get local currency and Katherine, at the front desk, pulled out a map and told us what to do. Her directions were perfect. We’ve asked restaurant questions of Augustin and he rattled off 6 terrific restaurants and why they would be great for us. We’ve made restaurant reservations and asked for help with direction regularly and the staff is easy to please. They also offer bicycle rentals for a different view of the city. The hotel has a very nice restaurant that we primarily enjoyed for breakfast. They have a very nice breakfast buffet to please everyone. There is a chef in the back who custom make something for you as well. Nicholas regularly took care of us at breakfast and was great. Bruno, at the front desk, was very helpful regularly. Valentina was also very nice. I can't remember everyone's names but all of the hotel staff were great, very helpful and warm. One woman will be giving birth in June and she was delightful to work with. You'll love this hotel.
Superb
An excellent hotel and highly professional. Stayed for a week. Superb rooms comfortable rooms - I had large room opposite the river/sea. Great public areas a d friendly bar and restaurant staff Great location opposite Pocitos beach. Will be back. Hyatt has a certain level of design and quality that hits the spot
