The ABSOLUTE WORST Experience

My Corporate Travel Department booked a reservation (through a 3rd Party website since the hotel is not listed in any traditional corporate travel sites), for a medical professional we had working at a local hospital. The reservation was paid in full for 22 nights on a corporate travel card. The Sunday afternoon when the guest arrived, he was told by an absolute curmudgeon that he could not check-in because he was not in possession of the card. Now, any hotel that has experience with CORPORATE bookings understands that the guests do not travel with the card in hand, but clearly this hotel is not one of those.
He called me in dismay because not only was he new to the city, he was also here from another country and had nowhere else to go, very little $ and no one to turn to. I got on the phone with the front-desk person Jackie and she proceeded to very angrily "School" me on the fact that he had no right to stay there (???) When I explained that the reservation had been made through my corporate travel team which was closed (remember - Sunday), she said "well that's just TOO BAD then." At this juncture, my exhausted and bewildered employee was on the verge of tears. I offered to put my OWN credit card on file and send her a copy of the back and signature page when she finally agreed to procees the corporate card - which she could have done all along.
Fast forward to day 22. His reservation had expired and we needed to extend for a few more days. A specialist from my Corporate Travel Team called the hotel to extend his stay and provide further payment. Lo and behold...someone answers with an aggressive "Extended Stay how can I help?" My travel partner said cheerily, "Good Afternoon, who am I speaking with?" The curmudgeon proceeds to angrily insist that she does not need her NAME and that we called her! (Mind you - this is a place of business and ...umm...hospitality). My travel partner says, "alright, my name is X and I'm calling form XYZ's Corp Travel Dept. about a physician that is staying..." "Oh I know EXACTLY who you're calling about! People seem to FORGET when you've done them a FAVOR and now you calling me to reprimand ME!" (???)
The conversation degraded steadily from there. X tried to get the extension confirmed so our employee could continue to rest up for work the next day. It was slow going but she finally got Jackie's name. She then asked for her manager's name - Rhonda, and told her that she would be calling in the morning and hoped she would be there to corroborate her account of what happened - as I would be there. Jackie cut her off with "I don't have time for this, let's get this done." As X began to give her the credit card information...Jackie hung up on her.
She called back, Jackie picked up and hung up. She called back again...it rang with no answer. We waited a few minutes, she called back AGAIN, and Jackie's tone had changed- somewhat. Crystal said, "Hello Jackie, we must have been disconnected. I was giving you the card number..." Jackie asked for it, and X provided. Then Jackie said "I APPRECIATE you respecting my..." She went on for another 30 seconds and hung up AGAIN.
We WILL be contacting Rhonda, and whoever owns this facility. They may not do anything about Jackie's horrendous behavior, but they will also never get another corporate dollar.

After being mislead by the online presentation we booked this hotel. As evacuees fleeing Hurricane Dorian following a mandatory evacuation we arrived to this hotel. The atmosphere was rather grim. We requested a chance to look at the room. The room we viewed was not correct. we booked a double bed and were showing a room with a single bed . in addition the room is in clean and smells very badly and also of cigarette smoke . we booked a non-smoking room . we arrived around 9:40 am well before the 12 noon book in time. We decided that the hotel was not appropriate for us and requested a refund without even checking in the hotel general manager refuse to provide us with a refund . Her attitude was condescending arrogant and fairly impolite . rather than fight with her over a refund which seem to be what she wanted, so we simply decided to leave and obtain our refund through an alternative method . The room was bought via a third party company, who we called, however they could not obtain anyone at the hotel via phone in order to obtain our refund . The general manager and staff at the hotel made it a point not to answer the phone from the third-party company . Sadly these people are criminals and will steal your money, it is not a safe location and the rooms are not clean and smell heavily of cigarette smoke . I cannot recommend this location to anyone. as evacuees from the major hurricane we were already stressed and upset having to leave our home and work unexpectedly in order to get out of the way of the affects of the storm. so all of that stress on top of having to deal with these inconsiderate people at this hotel made for a very upsetting experience . so profound that we decided to leave Montgomery Alabama completely and travel to the Gulfport to find a more professional and established lodging location.
Avoid this place it’s worth spending a little more

This is absolutely the worse place I have ever stayed. Listen if your good with dirty rooms ,broken A/C, dirty sheets, sketchy places that are infested with filth this is your place. Very out dated. I have personally stayed in bad parts of Memphis that where castles in comparison.

The GM was rude, abrasive & confrontational. Should have been a red flag. The place is in utter disrepair. They don't even check the fridge when u leave bc whoever had my room left a bunch of groceries. Toliet stooped up waited almost 3 hrs before a plunger was given. This place is so bad that I took pictures. I couldn't microwave anything bc the microwave is so gross. It's cheap, I get that but these are things that need to be looked into. When the GM is that nasty, I will suggest it sets a tone for everyone working there. I cannot see this place in business 3 yrs down the road. The owner should get there promptly

Wouldn’t rate these rooms at all. The only perk was that there was carparking and washing machines on site.
Loved that we payed for a non-smoking room that stunk like cigarettes.
There were people walking around on the street and in the ground drunk, it was off of a noisey road and our toilet was not working properly.
