Great location, outdated hotel
We spent there 3 nights. Knowing that we weren’t gonna be too much at the hotel I was looking for cheaper options. For three nights, this room did the job. But I don’t think I would go back. The hotel’s main (or maybe the only) real advantage is its great location. It’s close to a lot of good restaurants, a big subway station, and to many bus stops so it’s definitely convenient. The hotel itself is relatively old, could use a little face lifting. The room was tiny and not very well equipped. There was a small refrigerator as well as a coffee machine which were useful, though. Toiletries are also great quality. There was only one microwave for the entire hotel on the main floor, so we couldn’t warm our food in the room. The bed was big but uncomfortable as the mattress was really soft and the cushions were too thick for our liking. The desk and the chair was also super uncomfortable and impossible to work there all day long (I had to work 1 day eventually). WiFi was very slow and my phone wouldn’t automatically connect to it—also, the whole WiFi thing was a bit weird as we were provided with 1-1 code each for the internet so we had to ask another one to be able to use WiFi on the laptop as well. One day the heater wasn’t working (during winter?!) as someone asked the staff to turn it off (!) as he was warm in his room... but luckily they were able to turn it on once we asked for it. There was no paper and pen in the room which I also missed. Breakfast wasn’t available. Not my most pleasant experience.
Such helpful and friendly staff
Me and my friend came to stay at this hotel for one night. We got a great deal on our hotel which included a two hour check in early time and an hour check out late. We arrived in Montreal at 5 am and went to drop off our bags at the hotel and they got us into a room immediately!! The room was very large and gorgeous. It included a jacuzzi bathtub and a mini fridge. Our stay was very relaxing and easy and I would recommend to everyone. It is also in a very convenient location. Thank you so much to the staff at St.Denis Hotel
Quiet, helpful staff, great value and location...
Good location , and clean Spacey room. I gotta type 200 minimum character. So I will repeat... Quiet, clean, staff is helpful, Spacey rooms... No complaints or dissatisfaction... Thanks for reading my review...
Nice, quiet and good location
Very pleased with our spacious room. Everything modern and a very quiet location. $15 daily fee for parking seemed steep but not once we saw the challenges for parking everywhere in the city. Parking was good and convenient. The room was very clean with fairly new wooden floors, good TV, nice sitting area, lot's of wall plugs and a private safe in the room. Lot's of storage areas. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Had to cut our Montreal visit short by two days and no penalty was imposed.
Ideal for our short visit- 10/15 minute walk from old Montreal, handy for restaurants, the Metro and exploring. Friendly and helpful staff who all spoke English. The room was of a good size, the bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. There was an air conditioning unit in the window. Clean and comfortable.
