I am from louisville ky and I travel a lot as a driver for a hot shot runner. I had to do a pick up in Holyoke MN but was not able to get it till 4 pm. I asked the front desk if they could extend my check out and they told me to stay as long as needed. They will just clean the room the next day. The gentleman that night also went out of his way to see that I had a room with a fridge. (I kinda need one to keep my ice packs frozen.) This hotel was a great place to stay and if I ever pass through here again I will always stay there. Thanks y'all for one of the best experiences at a hotel that I will never forget.

Stayed at the FORMER Days Inn in Moose Lake, now privately owned and operated. While I can see they are trying, still a depressing hotel, and way over priced, especially considering a mid-week night. Traveling many weekdays for business, I stay at numerous hotels. I'm fine with paying over $100/night for a decent hotel in the metro areas. This is a bad hotel, in a bad location, no breakfast, with not much selection for dinners. Lazy Moose Cafe was great, but do not deliver. Poor Gary's Pizza, terrible customer service, and 2-hour delivery time. Moose Lake Lodge (formerly a Days Inn) has a cool northwoods style lobby. That is the highlight. Dated decor in my room, aside from the cool Moose Lamp. Flat screen TV was good. Bed and pillows were good. WiFi is free, and decent speed, which you'll need, because cell service is poor.. Drive a little further North or South and stay in Cloquet/Duluth or Hinckley. The Moose LAke Lodge needs to get into this century, as does the town of Moose Lake. Sure its cute. But cute can only go so far. Get up-to-date.
Moose Lake Lodge not Days Inn any more.

New name and owners, beautiful decor. Very nice updated rooms. Friendly staff and quick checkin and checkout. Hot breakfast, juices, milk, cereal. Only four tables kinda small, but it worked. Quiet and easy access.
Deceptive advertising, room not well cleaned

Having recently joined Wyndham, I booked this hotel for points. I was quite surprised that, despite being advertised as a "Wyndham" and the wifi being Wyndham and some other Wyndham branding, the front desk person told me they are no longer with Wyndham but were now with a small independent type group of hotels. I was not happy. I can't imagine decisions to leave a major chain are made lightly so don't understand why correct branding wasn't done prior to the so called change. I certainly didn't like not getting points as we were there for 3 nights. After a 8 hour delay in our flight, we had an evening arrival. The front desk receptionist was very"basic" in that he just said they weren't with Wyndham anymore, made a few other comments then said it had been "one if those days." He did not provide any information about how to get to our room, where to park until we asked and never said what the hours were for the free breakfast. As it turns out, accessing our room and parking was pretty straightforward but it would be nice to be informed without having to ask. The cleanliness of our room was the real issue. I found two hairs in the bathroom, one in the tub and the other on the floor. This is a pet peeve of mine. There were two queen beds. Since the one had a major spot or stain of some sort, it was easy to decide what bed to use. Unfortunately, my picture of this was deleted. The only picture I have is of the spot on the blanket that was on the bed were used. Granted, it's not a big one but certainly given an overall impression of being unclean. When comparing this hotel to similarly priced hotels, the level of communication by the receptionist and the cleanliness of the room was certainly below par.

Booked this room weeks in advance for bike trip...This hotel claimed to be part of Wyndhams so I could earn hotel points...I get there and he says they have noTV...and I dont earn points....Also room did not have microwave and fridge...So no TV,fridge, microwave and he says he can take 10 bucks off my 154 dollar bill...I’m on a bike on a Sat night with no other choice...Go to Macdonalds next door for breakfast..Their free breakfast is free for nothing..Worst hotel expierence in over 10 years...Stay away
