Lovely and Quirky Hotel
This is the second time I stay at this hotel and really love. Lovely design rooms and great bar on the top floor. Very well located and walking distance from main attractions. If planning a trip to Munich please have a look at this hotel.
Nice design but needs some improvement
The rooms are each individually designed which makes this hotel unique and extraordinary. So it definitely looks nice. BUT: Stayed on the 3rd floor below the bar and it can get quite noisy in the evening. Walls are thin and you can hear people walking outside on your floor and from the bar above. Also when taking the shower, the floor flooded quite easily as the wall is not big enough to prevent water coming out. @hotel staff: would be great to fix it, I stayed in room 310
Thank you Ekke and Victoria
The best part about our stay was having met Ekke, the bartender, and Victoria at the front desk. Ekke was truly the best! He made great cocktails and was super nice. He made our time at the bar very enjoyable. Victoria was also lovely and provided us with great recommendations of things to do and see in Munich. I do have to say that our room was so tiny that it was a bit laughable and I’m used to smaller rooms living in NEw York City. The hotel has no frills other than the bar but is located in a cool neighborhood. Lots of great restaurants nearby that aren’t touristy but it’s also only a 10 min walk to the main touristy areas so the best of both worlds. Super convenient.
Great hotel, exceptional bar
Stayed for one night. Very cool room, I love the 3m tall shower! This place is all about the bar. I arrived late and was planning to go straight to bed but the great ambiance of the bar convinced me to go for a night cap. Great bartender, great cocktail and lovely roof top views over the city
Ups and downs.
Usually, I love unique settings and progressive projects. Still, I'm convinced this has not to affect comfort and fucntionality. Which was not my experience. This hotel is located in a trendy and accessible area, 10 min walking from the Viktualien market. The sorroundigs are full of nice restaurants, cafè and trendy stores. Rooms are at the 4° floor of a quite anonymous building. The check-in took very long as it's made through a laptop that couldn't validate my credit card. The room I've been given was so small it barely fit my baggage! no workdesk, no closet, no fridge... just a bed and a washbasin, the shower and the toilet in a separated "room". I'd say 6 sq. meters altogether. It was adjacent to the bar, which was quite crowded that friday night, so I heard the noise all through the night with people trying to get into my balcony to smoke. Breakfast is served in the same bar and consists in a self-service tray of croissants, coffe from the machine, a couple of bottles of juices from a bowl, bread and marmelades. Definitely awful for an hotel breakfast. At the check-out, nobody showed up at the desk, and I had to leave the hotel without even been given the keys to the garage. That made me late for my flight. All that at the not-so-cheap rate of 180€! Sorry, when I'm travelling for work I need another level of comfort and service.
