someone dropped a bone in the driveway and i ate it

As a 3 year shipoo dog, i eat anything on the ground and I was delighted to find lots of bones and edible trash in the front of the motel. My mother/chauffeur/caretaker freaked out and made me spit everything out but I kept wanting to go back out there to see if there were any more bones. There was not a lot of green grass to do my business (if you know what I mean). I walked around the neighborhood so that helped. But my mother kept grumbling because other dog parents did not pick up up the poo and the smokers did not pick up their butts! Our neighbors played really loud music until 1am in the morning. I met other dogs and they were nice. The elevator was slow, but I liked taking the stairs. I would give it a 3 star because of the bone, but my mom thinks it is 1 star. Enjoy your stay.
It's not too late, drive elsewhere

I thought I already posted a review, but I don't see it. During a recent trip to Cedar City, we stayed here for 4 nights, cutting it short by one day. Motel 6 was an acceptable alternative in the past, but not anymore. The place has deteriorated. There are few amenities, a lack of staff, and the overall effect is one of neglect. The room was uncomfortable, the linens were cheap (pillows almost absent of any filling), and the place could use a good cleaning and repairs. The housekeeping staff has apparently never tried using toilet bowl cleaner - which is disgusting. There is no counter space in the bathroom, which has a terrible layout. The shower curtain was repulsive. There were burnt out lights, the window leaked during a rainstorm and the side chairs are impossibly uncomfortable for seating. The hotel overall is noisy, early and late. The main floor hallway to the north, leading to our ground floor room, had an odor reminiscent of an unfleshed toilet. During the rainstorm, water poured through the recessed lights in the front portico.
This is not a place I would recommend, and am unlikely to venture a return. The whole appearance is one of disrepair. Perhaps the management has given up or the facility is due to be demolished. There are other places that are much cleaner that would be more comfortable.
Good times at Motel 6

Was very delighted that Motel 6 was up to date. Loved there was security measures from unwanted guests. The owner Jamie Gorrell was very helpful and also recommended good places to dine. Loved that Motel 6 was right off the freeway and very easy to find. Loved my time there.
"Trying" is good enough for this place

I was not expecting fancy, it's a Motel 6, but a flushing toilet is a must. We are staying here for 1 night and needed a bed and a toilet. The toilet didn't flush. The motel was full. So, the front desk worker came up and tried to fix it. She was unsuccessful. To me, that means you should comp my room. Her response was, "I tried to fix it, wait until morning and the manager can give you a discount". We came here to hike. I'm not interested in waiting until he comes to work to give me a discount. I want to be exploring not waiting on the manager to show up. I'm up late, my son is asleep, my husband needs a toilet. Ridiculous. This is a basic minimum requirement. If you stay here. Make sure you flush your toilet the second you get through the door. If not, they will try, but if they fail they don't care.
Really need to invest in repairs and new bedding

The only pro was the room was clean.
The cons: the springy mattress with old pillows didn’t make our nights stay comfortable at all. The bed didn’t even have a comforter of any sort. Was made with a sheet, a blanket and then a sheet on top. The bedding was really beyond its useful life.
The plug outlets need to be replace. Out of 3 in the room, only one outlet actually held our chargers to our phones in place. Had to charge my laptop in the bathroom on the floor because the toilet had no lid. The towels were far beyond it’s life span and were super thin. No hairdryer, no shampoo, 1/4 left of toilet paper that went empty the day we checked out.
Overall, they need to be charging $40 for a room in this shape.
