Great for exploring Murcia
We stayed here on our first visit to Murcia. The hotel is comfortable and quiet and within walking distance of all the tourist locations. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great for a short stay to see the sights and enjoy some of the great restaurants in Murcia
Good Facility at reasonable price
We stayed here for a weekend in the beautiful city of Murcia. There are cheaper and more expensive options as well as lower/ higher quality establishments but this was perfect for our stay. It is within walking distance of most attractions and the local tram lines. It has lots of facilities including a secure underground car park but this adds a significant percentage uplift to the advertised room rates. Like most hotels in Spain the heating is switched on in November and off in March and can’t be independently controlled in your room so try not to book if the forecast is 25deg in February- not common but true for our weekend stay, the room was like an oven and very uncomfortable to sleep in.
Perfect location but old fashioned hotel
Great location in the city centre but the hotel looks old inside, especially the rooms, old fashioned and very uncomfortable beds and pillows. Very expensive also the private parking, it's 22€ per night, the same price as many others around the hotel; as client you should get a little discount for it in my opinion.
Value for money, friendly service
The hotel itself is pretty average, but the prices are accordingly, so we got value for money. Perfect for what we needed for a one night stay. The room was clean and well maintained, but nothing special. The service at the front desk was friendly and they got us checked in fast and without hassle.
Decent location but a few flaws
This hotel is a pleasant walk from the Cathedral and historic areas of Murcia and right next to a large El Corte Ingles department store. Check in was quick and relatively easy and the room was pleasant enough, not especially large but perfectly reasonable. My room looked out on to a side street and had an opening window (always a relief to get respite from air con). However, the rooms are not particularly soundproof. When the gentlemen (plural) in the room next door decided to entertain a professional lady at 2am in the morning I was privy to all the graphic details of their encounter, every word and every sound, and whilst not fluent in Spanish I know enough to, unfortunately, understand a lot of the intimate dialogue. The reason I could hear so alarmingly clearly was a combination of the thinness of the walls and that they had their window open (although I did not). Another negative is the car park. Whilst it is great to have parking at a city centre hotel, whoever designed this car park has clearly never driven a car. The turns are ludicrously tight and the spaces ludicrously small - if you are driving anything larger than a Smart car you will find parking extremely stressful. I’d suggest trying the parking at Avenue Libertad which, whilst more expensive is spacious, well lit and a short walk to the hotel. Take away noise from neighbours and the car park and this is a perfectly pleasant hotel, though I’d be unlikely to choose it again.
