Room and amenities were nice. Service was lacking
Nice resort but service lacked a lot. First our fridge in the kitchenette didn't work, which I found when I put away over $100 in groceries. I called down immediately and it took 4 hours and 6 calls to the front desk before someone showed up at 10:30 pm. We also had a broken toilet seat and that was never fixed, I gave up. As far as Housekeeping, the first morning, the cleaning lady said she couldn't make the beds because there was too much stuff on them so I made sure they were clean the next day and they weren't made then either. When I asked her, she said they weren't allowed because of covid. I would've been fine and completely understanding if I hadn't been told differently the previous day. By the last day of the stay, the cleaning lady stopped coming all together so we had a huge pile of towels and no fresh ones (I even called down for some and they never showed up), and the garbage was massively overflowing. I tried everything, including tipping the housekeeper very well and still was massively disappointed. Needless to say, very beautiful view, nice room, bad service. Calling prior to stay for inquiries the staff was short and rude. Overall enjoyed it. Amenities were lovely. Lots to do.
Stay away
I wish I knew who their photographer is because they are amazing. These pictures are so deceiving, I would give negative stars if I could. The main picture of that huge hotel? Squint your eyes and spot that small yellow building - see it? That’s the ‘resort’. The place is worn down, dirty, and TINY. Also in a not so desirable or safe part of myrtle beach. You can smell the chlorine from the parking lot. While walking to check out the property there was a woman smoking a cigarette in the hot tub with multiple young kids sitting next to her. Didn’t even end up staying one night and went elsewhere. The pools and beach are decent enough for a quick beach vaca but the hotel itself is shameful. Also over a 2 hour check in processes where you have to go park your car across the street and drag your stuff back.
Vacation
We stayed at the Sea Crest Ocean Reaort at 803 South Ocean Blvd. in Mrytel Beach South Carolina. We had a great time!! The staff was great, the room was clean and spacious and the location was great! We loved the breakfast cafe on the upper floor and the small mini mart located at the resort.
So worth it
We stayed on the 14th floor. The room was clean and well stocked with supplies. The beds were very comfortable. The pools were clean and well maintained. There is an exercise room and a convenience store on site. Will def be back again.
Dirty Dirty Really Dirty
OMG Really was shocked at the Cleaniness of this place .Room smells like mildew Sink doesn't drain. pool bathrooms were Incredibly awful Never will return to this place !!!!! Pool area looks nothing like the photis on the internet..
