Nice Hotel

Reviewed 11 september, 2018

We stayed one night in early August during our Shikoku trip. The family room with 4 beds has a sea-facing balcony with beautiful sunrise view. This hotel is convenient for stay if you visit Arts Museum and Naruto Whirlpool nearby. There is a free underground car park. The beach does not look appealing and the swimming pool is swarmed with kids due to summer holiday. So we don't bother to swim at this hotel but use the onsen instead. As we stayed in Annexed building next to Main building, there are two corridors to connect both buildings for passage to lobby on ground floor as well as on upper floor to the onsen. The best thing is the extremely delicious buffet with so many varieties during breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff with nice resort environment, I would love to stay in this hotel if I go to Naruto again.

Resort hotel with onsen and seaview

Beautiful hotel at Naruto. Location remote best self drive. No nearby restaurants or shopping centre. Good for a quiet holiday, with onsen, swimming pool. Good reception service. Spacious room with sea view. I regret that I have to check out earlier due to the earthquake in Osaka.

Good location and views

This hotel has a great location on the beach. We got upgraded to an ocean view room (I think because we were members of the Marriott Rewards program). The room was spacious by Japanese standards and well appointed. We were allowed to check in at 2:00 pm which is early by Japanese standards. We got a package that included breakfast and dinner. Warning, for dinner be sure and make reservations! We had a choice of four restaurants including the buffet, but we couldn't get in any of them before 8:00. There are large tour buses that stop here and their customers fill up the restaurants quickly. We ended up eating at the French restaurant where we were allowed to take one of their lower cost fixed menus. The food was quite excellent, and there were some reasonably priced wines on the menu (by Japanese standards). The breakfast buffet is packed for the first hour after they open, and you sometimes have to wait in a long line to get your food from each of the buffet stations. Better to wait until the crowd thins out for breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located from the bus stops that can take you to the sights around the Naruto whirlpool area (including the placed where they launch the boat tours). Warning! Be sure and ask the front desk for the latest bus schedule and be sure you understand how to read it. The bus is infrequent and does not always stop at the same locations around the whirlpool and bridge area....it depends on the day of the week and time of day. Service was quite good although few of the staff outside of the front desk spoke English. I would stay here again.

Luxury hotel where I would happily stay again

Reviewed 26 april, 2018

This was the final night of our tour in Shikoku. The hotel was the most expensive but also the most luxurious and we really enjoyed this. We were met at the main door by one of the uniformed staff who took all our baggage on a trolley. One of the family then parked our rental car in the hotel's parking. We were a little early and had to wait about 10 minutes before our rooms were ready. As soon as this was the case, the staff member re-appeared to take all our bags up to our rooms on the ninth floor. These rooms were very spacious and comfortable, each with a balcony. We also had a connecting door between the two rooms which as a family we found very convenient. We were only here one night and we ate in one the restaurant which had a very wide selection of delicious food (including pudding which is fairly rare in Japan). After dinner, we attended a display of traditional dancing in the hotel which finished with us being encouraged to join in, which was fun if not very elegant. Some of our family then went to one of the hotel onsens, part of which was outside. We then all had a good night's sleep in very comfortable beds and woke the following morning to see a fine view over the sea from our rooms, and even better from the balcony. The family then divided for breakfast, some having a Japanese breakfast in the restaurant upstairs, and others a western style breakfast downstairs. We then left the hotel after a very happy experience, to visit the Naruta whirlpools, first from a ship, and then from a long bridge, both of which are well worth doing. I would happily stay here again.

Great stay

The reception was lovely and the receptionists were very helpful as was the bell attendant. Since the room was not ready, had a lunch overlooking the water. Tasty pasta. The room was very nice and comfortable bed. The breakfast was sumptuous and worth seconds.
