Instead of getting better it get's worse every year

Reviewed 8 august, 2019

This year they created a garbage place just near the pools( see picture). The smell that comes from there is really bad. Also, the garbage is not taken from the rooms daily. Only once or twice per week. There are many other problems but they had them before as well so i won't bother describing them.

This hotel isn't 4 stars hotel, the food and drinks are poor, only the room is ok, but not all the rooms have sea view. They have a problem with their personal ( just "kids" work there) and isn' t very clean...

Dream location

Magnificent dream location, with view to the lake and sea at a time, unique on the Romanian seashore. Modern Concept, all-inclusive, everything in the same place: private beach, forest (very important when hot weather), mini - zoo, magnificent pools, daily concerts with important artists. Maximum comfort, aesthetic pleasure, excellent cuisine; anti-stress at a more than decent price.

Horrible first impression

Reviewed 1 september, 2018

I came here with my family for a week-end getaway. We booked a room for 3, on booking the description saying "2 large beds". Our surprise when we got the room was that there was only 1 bed and 1 extensible couch (if you can call it that way). I am usually not pretentious to beds, but in this one it was impossible to sleep. It had a sort of wooden bar in the middle. We tried to put blankets and towels but you could still feel it in your back. When we complained at the reception they said it's not their fault bc we rentet the room from the owner of the room!!! (They have a weird system) and not from the hotel. Besides that we had no bed sheets or towels. We did not try the food. After the disapointment with the room we decided we don't want to give them more money on food as well. All things considered, I would not return here. There are places much nicer and cheaper in Romania.

Would not come back even for a free stay

Tomorrow our stay ends and we are really looking forward to the departure. This is not a 4 star hotel by any means. In 5 days, the cleaning staff never visited our room, not even to leave some toilet paper, not even with the "please clean my room" sign left on the door. There are spiders and tarantulas on the balcony ceiling and after requesting they be cleaned twice, nobody bothered. The worst is the food. We are on vacation but need to limit ourselves to eating within a 2 hour time frame for each meal. Apart from this, you can get pizza. Sometimes, when they don't run out of ingredients. If you can see yourself on the beach, enjoying a donut, a sandwich, a cocktail, some fresh seafood, you can forget about it. All you have is ice-cream and the most basic drinks, that any child can mix (i.e. Campari orange, cuba libre). Tried the buffet meals, they were below mediocre, a waste of money. You can choose 2 dishes. All the food seems to be the cheapest they had in a supermarket. What is actually cooked and involves someone's cooking skills for taste leaves to be desired. The beach is full of algae and the water is rather dirty looking. There is nothing here that shows someone truly cares, that they put thought and attention for their guests. It gives a message that some minimum has been done, and don't come back. I can't say that I blame the staff. All staff needs training and someone who can lead by example. I haven't seen a single manager during our time here, walking in the restaurant, supervising the staff, making sure guests are happy. Staff looks unhappy, underpaid and untrained. Good intentions are there, but that doesn't make up for lack of example and guidance from experienced management. A 16 year old working a buffet breakfast is not supposed to have arrived with knowledge of what it means to be a host and to make people feel cared for. Yesterday we left the "resort", which is in the middle of nowhere, to go to Neptun. What a difference! The beach is well taken care of, the food and drinks are everywhere and the prices are way cheaper. So why would you come then to the middle of nowhere, for no food and no service? The pools look good, but we weren't able to get in any because the water is much colder than the sea. During the evening there is a drainage/sewer smell in the air when you are on the balcony, can't understand where from, since we are isolated. There is a train passing right through this "resort". You have to cross the railroad to reach the beach. Our stay was paid for with vouchers, otherwise we would not have lasted for 5 days on this terrible food and nothing to see or do. Highly not recommended and I can't see a single reason why this could be a valid stay option compared to the hotels in Neptun.
