Great hotel and lovely staff
My daughter and I stayed here at the end of November and were very impressed with the hotel. We arrived to be told that our room had been upgraded which was a lovely surprise. The rooms are compact but my daughter and I didn’t feel cramped, everything is well laid out and the bed was lovely and comfy. The hotel smelt beautiful and much to our delight we were able to buy a bottle of the room spray to take home. The views from the roof bar were great, I hadn’t realised just how close we would be to the Empire States Building. The staff were so friendly and helpful, always there to answer questions and provide directions. The hotel put on a happy hour every evening with free drinks which was much appreciated. This was an oasis of calm in a very busy city and we loved every minute of our stay. Would definitely stay here again!!
My husband and I came here from 26th Dec to 31st December. When we first arrived the impression from outside didn't seem very good as there were loads of garbage bags outside, but as the days went on I think its a standard practice in NYC. We checked in with ease and were directed to our rooms. We got to our room and absolutely loved our view, the Empire State building, which lights up in different colours each night. We settled in and waited for our luggage, which came promptly. We then decided to go exploring. Reception staff were really helpful in recommending places to eat and with directions. The rooms was also cleaned every day to a very high standard. The hotel is centrally located so you have everything at your doorstep. The nearest underground is probably around 5 minute walks, but when in NYC walk and explore!
Me and my husband wanted to have a relax little weekend getaway after nyc finally opened up. Ended up eyeing on Arlo nomad for the stunning view photos from their website. Upon check in the staff were polite, we booked supposedly the highest King bed sky room and ended up on a cornered room of 23rd floor. There was a huge wall from next building right in front of us, which legit took the whole view of one side of the window, out of the two. Tried to exchange to another room with staff, unfortunately got a quick turn down. We found a piece of taco wrapping paper and several dried-up leaves at bottom of the bed upon entering room. Also there were no bottle water offered like other reviewers mentioned which was strange. The bed is at last comfortable so we try to enjoy the night nevertheless. Maybe it’s due to an epidemic time and that Arlo is striving to maintain open so the service is not up to par. However it was a pretty underwhelming experience this time. I feel better that we live in the neighborhood and not coming all the way from another state, otherwise I cannot fathom the disappointment.
Great customer service!
My wife is a traveling nurse and was working at NYU Langone from April to June. She rented an apartment while there but her last two nights she stayed at Arlo Nomad. When boarding her flight to return home she realized that she left her back pack containing her laptop. I called and spoke with Paola at the front desk. She went and personally recovered my wife’s bag and worked with me to coordinate shipment. My wife enjoyed her time there and we are forever great full for their willingness to help us with our situation. We will definitely remember Arlo Nomad next time we find ourselves in the area!
Nice place to stay in NY!
I stayed at the Arlo Nomad 3 nights while in NY on a work assignment! Lovely view and rooms! Mark, Micheal, and Carley were super helpful and showed great hospitality! The ambiance and decor were also very lovely! Will book again!
