Terrible customer service
Like many others,I booked, paid a deposit, cancelled and was ignored for months and months. I understand hotels are suffering and I'd happily reconsider this hotel if they actually replied to emails, this is possible even if working from home. Since they failed to look after existing/ potential customer, why should I look after them when things get back to semi normal. They simply don't deserve my money. Luckily I contacted booking.com and they managed to get my refund sorted, so if you booked with Booking.com,keep contacting them. Again, they are busy so might wait a few weeks. But definitely not months like this hotel...
Still waiting for the refund of my deposit
My reservation was canceled from Booking.com and although this was booked under free cancellation policy, the deposit paid since November 2019, is still not returned. Both the hotel and Booking.com have failed to provide a satisfactory answer on this issue. I wouldn't recommend a hotel which follows unethical practices.
Great Location and Super Affordable
I was more than pleased with my room. It was very spacious and clean. The location could not be better -- across from Penn Station, subways, and in walking distance to the theatre district. For the price, it can't be beat.
I cancelled my stay within the refund period and they refuse to refund my deposit or answer any communication. I have tried to contact them for over two months and they won't answer the phone or answer emails. Very unethical business practice.
Had to reupload the review, got deleted somehow
This was one of the worst hotels i've stayed in, when I came here with my Dad in 2012 we had to move to four different rooms before we eventually gave up since it was obvious that every room was terrible. There were blood stains on the pillows, the shower/ bath only gave ice cold water and craziest of all there was a lamp that would turn on whenever you sat on the bed. If you jumped off the bed the lamp would turn off, then on again when you sat back down; when we pulled the bed away it turned out that the wires were frayed and sticking out of the wall, when you sat on the bed, the bed would push the wires back in, thus turning on the lamp. The staff was rude to us, they clearly didn't care about any issues we had and it seems like they didn't want to be there and the TVs were infuriating since they would play the same things and the quality was terrible. The only advantage to this place is the location since it is in the middle of Manhattan, not far from Time square and Central park, so if you don't care about the hotel itself and want a convenient location, then you'll have plenty of stories to tell when you get back home.
