So I stayed here on my second trip to NYC which was March 2020. On check in I asked for an upgrade if available. I had written and asked if one was available and was told to ask upon check in. I was informed I was given a view. (this I had paid for) but no big deal. Always worth asking. I read a lot about this hotel on a Facebook page before travelling and at one stage thought about changing. Check in was fast and pleasant. Elevators 6 of them and in a 6 days we never had to wait long. Security beside the elevators in the evening asking for room key. Talk is some floors are rented out to homeless and if so we never had any trouble because of this so if this bothers you don't let it. Location- Top marks, its beside a tube station, around the corner from Broadway and 5 mins to Times Square. Didn't eat in the Hotel so can't give an opinion however it looked good. Onto the room. As I have learned NYC rooms are small but they are just somewhere we sleep. Rooms are a bit old but clean. Bathroom dead on, shower in bath tub which was fine. ice machine on every second floor, beds comfy which is. a big thing for me. Had to ring on two occasions to have the room cleaned properly. Bins emptied but ignored beds etc. Im not precious about myself but I expect it to be done. Maybe they didn't like I wasn't tipping the maids. My main issue with the hotel is the smell of the rooms. It smelled like FEET. I kid you not. It was hard to put up with. the carpets need cleaning simple as. I have emailed the GM a month ago (Maurizio Boinivento) and no response so here we are. Aside from the feet smell which was a downer the hotel was good. Staff helpful when asked. (our safe had an issue but guy sent up to fix straight away. PROS Good location Good value Nice staff CONS Smell in room. could do with being decorated etc.(this did not affect us)
Enjoyed our stay
We had an overall great experience. Would stay there again. Gezennia helped us, and she was extremely helpful. Pretty good value for a Manhattan hotel. Kind of cramped, but that is to be expected in the area.
Amazing Overnight Trip
I had an amazing stay at this hotel. Right in the center of Time Square and was able to walk to the play I was seeing. Ate at a few of the restaurants in the hotel which had very good food and a cool setup. The room was small but was very clean and well maintained. Loved all the brightness and even was able to get a corner room with a nice view of the city. Another cool thing was how the room keys could also double as a luggage tag. Staff was also really sweet and accommodating to us. Do remember that it is near Times square so it could be crowded and a bit noisy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to go to the city. Do not listen to these skeptical review this is a great hotel!
A good short break
the hotel is big and fancy its cost a bit of money and the room is big have alot of thing like TV, big bath room, big bed. The room service is great they work until 5 am. You will have free breakfast.
Outdated. DEPOSIT NOT RETURNED
The $50 a day which they hold in your account (I stayed for 4 nights 5 days) for damages to room etc WAS NOT RETURNED BACK TO MY ACCOUNT! At present I’m still fighting to get my own money back! Froze $300 for 5 days and only returned $100!
