Fine for an overnight stay

I’ve stayed here a few times when in the local area on business. Rooms are clean and comfortable but relatively basic. The restaurant and bar are pleasant and overall it’s good value for money. There is plenty of parking if required.
Good place to stay

Our room was clean, well furnished, provided everything one expects: double bed, table, two chairs, separate bathroom. We did not have diner in the restaurant, so we can not review this part. Th breakfast was perfect: much choice, beautiful breakfast room
Comfortable, well appointed and welcoming

Stayed here whilst attending a trade show - which was close by.
Staff excellent, service great, junior suite large and had a ground floor patio - very comfortable. Enjoyed my 2 night stay here. Not a great deal to do around and abouts, but that was not the purpose of the visit.
Very nice rooms, terrible, horrid restaurant

We stayed for the weekend. The hotel is quiet, the rooms are nice. I especially enjoyed the large bathtub in the room.
The breakfast buffet is good. There is a lot of choice, the coffee is nice, bread is fresh, and the staff is friendly and keep the place impeccable.
But here is the rub. The restaurant is serving pretentious overpriced goo, and the staff has no clue. Everything taste of processed, reheated food, nothing is fresh. The salmon was bone dry, the steak tasteless grey chunk, all sauces were premade, as was the bread. The lobster sauce was the same dressing as was used on the vegetables (two rosettes of broccoli for both of us), and it never saw any lobster. The french fries, served in glass for some reason, were given an adequate final deep fry in the kitchen, but they were served with industrial mayonnaise that tasted like salad dressing mixed with stomach acid. Even the buying in obviously can be done better. When I asked for butter in stead of the plastic cup of diet margerine that came with the premade, half baked bread, the waiter argued with me to the point I had to explain him that butter comes out of a cow. That pretty much describes the whole meal. Nicely plated carelessly made industrial grub, really. My friend came straight from Africa after working in a war zone for doctors without borders, and she send most of her meal back. Really, I am not kidding.
For these prices the food is more than embarrassing. This chef lost contact with food, and is just painting with cheap processed ingredients. Any cheap pizzeria does better. Value for money is zero. The manager should sit down and actually taste the food, not just look at it. I am sorry to be so negative, because the hotel the staff, the rooms are great. But there was no saving grace at all in the restaurant and the menu. None.
