Stayed here for 3 nights, Hotel has a slight cat theme to it with 10 lovely cats walking around, The owner and all his staff were excellent was even given a gift when I left, The resort is beautifully lit up at night and the food was delicious, had an excellent time and will definitely be back again.
Very calm place and attentive people

The hotel is located just at legendary Kwai river in a very picturesque place, where it makes a sharp turn. No one is around, only river, birds and very new and clean houses. And the attentive and energetic owner of this family business, who always will be ahead of your expectations, ready for service.
But yes, this is not a true hotel. Rather, it's a small home stay, lost in bamboo and neighboring villages. And local swimming pool is hence not in suitable condition, do not expect a miracle here.
Food is good if you like Asian cuisine but if not, you won't find enough diversity.
It was not an issue for us, because Erawan waterfall is very accessible by car. And there you will have a decent chill out and cold water if you need it.
And real sense of jungles, btw

We booked this last minute and as a family of 5 with small children it was perfect. The retreat is a colourful and magical place on a big area right on the banks of Kwae Noi. It is quite far from down town Kanchanaburi and is about 300 baht in a songtaow.
There's a station past the bridge station called Wang Yen if you get the train to here it's much quicker to get to the retreat and if you. In fact the owner by email he can arrange a pick up as many from town don't know it.
If you want to be close to amenities then this would be difficult. There's no shop close by as it's very remote. Just take things with you. We went into town two days and had dinner then picked up things from the 711. The peace and quiet and mountainous views make up for all of this. This isn't a resort for sitting by a bar. The menu is very Thai and limited but for us perfect. It is very quiet and there are staff on hand to serve if you ask. This isn't a big resort set up for catering to English speaking guests so don't expect this from the staff. They are lovely, kind and very helpful and try the best they can. The owner is on hand and speaks perfect English if there's anything you need.
The rooms are great and we got upgraded for a great price. The design of the rooms is breathtaking. We stayed in the quadruple mountainous room and it was stunning.
What makes this special place even more special is the owner. He is the most welcoming and friendly host and aims to really take care of his guests. As he designed this himself he takes great pride in sharing it with all and telling its story. He made the experience and our family holiday a real joy.
We didn't want to be in the hustle and bustle of town we wanted the tranquility of Kanchanaburi. Sitting in the p with the relaxing music and sounds of nature all around looking out at the river words cannot do it justice. One of the most lovely unique places I've ever been. I live in Thailand and we will be back. I've stayed in different places here some 5 star resorts done in town some not but this places has that something extra special. Day trips can be organised with a driver to town o Erawan falls. You can choose from a list. Thai massage is available on request. There is a pool for taking a dip but this isn't set up for sun bathing. It's so lovely and you can lie on beds by the river in the shade.
The Thai breakfast is a must! Different each day but delicious soup, curry and stir fried veg with rice. Food is amazing. We went to a lot of local places as recommended by owner. The food at his place was some of the best we had. Red curry at breakfast especially good.
Loved it. Can't say anymore than that. Sad to go.
Best resting place

We’ve been there for 2 days driving from Bangkok. It is isolated so you need a GPS and google map to reach it.
Very peaceful atmosphere. Our daughter of 3 year had so much fun in the big garden and with the cats. It is a bit unique place as the decoration is everywhere and so colorful.
The owner was very kind and provided all information required. I forgot to return my key after departure. And the owner came far away to pickup it.
The menu is a bit short and the food is not 4 star rated but you can expect regular meals at reasonable price.
Definitly we will come back for another weekend.
PEACEFUL, UNIQUE BOUTIQUE HOTEL

We loved staying here. The accommodation is all uniquely styled & is beautiful through out. The design of the whole retreat is a visual feast for the eyes. The location is a bit out of the way but if you want to relax & get away from it all then it is perfect. The retreat is right on the river, so we were able to take a boat ride in the river & lazily float around. The host & staff were all very friendly & helpful & took us to visit a sacred tree on our way back to Kanchanaburi. All of the food we had was very nice & was served in a lovely, relaxed communal area. The resident cats were delightful & were very popular with my children without being intrusive. Wifi was consistently very good.
