Good for a brief visit

Room was clean, comfortable although a bit dated and in need of some repair around the edges. They do provide a decent continental breakfast and staff is friendly. Only negative I would add is, I was not impressed with the staff standing or sitting right outside the entry door smoking and forcing customers coming & going having to walk through the stinking smoke. All in all, just a good average motel.

Stay for funeral was major mistake

Came in at noon to find no ironing board and microwave didn't work. Notified front desk and was assured it would be resolved. Went down to front desk at 4PM to check on status. New person just came on duty and knew nothing about it. Was informed that maintenance was gone for the day and she couldn't move microwave. I volunteered to move from a different room and was informed I was a liability even wasn't able to sign waiver. Only option was to change rooms. Wife said no after unpacking and settling in for 4 hours. When you come into town to bury you wife's, sister husband (brother in law) this is not what you want to deal with. I am a platinum elite member with Marriott Bonvoy which also meant nothing to this location. This is what I expect from a Motel 6 or Super 8 but not a Marriott property

disappointment

Reviewed 22 march, 2022

When we arrived, it was pouring down rain. There was no drive through entrance so we had to unload the car and walk through the rain to get into the motel. We had a hard time adjusting the room temperature, It was hot all night, and hard to breath and sleep easily. The breakfast was barely there. We have come to expect more of Fairfield, but this place had no coffee, no breakfast meat, even though there was an appliance that was sitting there next to the egg warmer. The only spoons they had were the type that would be used for ice tea, so it felt like I was eating cereal with chopsticks. Grapes were older and soft. I will not book this place again.

Proximity to I35 good. Received notification early afternoon that our room was ready. Notified Fairfield of 4pm arrival. Actually arrived 6pm and checked in. Entered room…not at all ready despite being noted as ready in system. Housekeeping had not reset this room…at all. Front Desk staff helpful and put us in another room although it wasn’t the room type we had reserved. Evening and morning staff pleasant. Saving grace for this location is walking distance to two restaurants (just across parking lot). We chose Charleston for dinner…good choice. Would MAYBE stay here again if just passing through.

Very Disappointing!

Reviewed 16 january, 2022

It’s so disappointing when I visit a Marriott that just shouldn’t be allowed to have the Marriott name. We stayed here in the past and things weren’t up to par, but I thought they were doing some remodeling. First, the lady at the front desk upon checkin (average height, probably around 60 years old, dark brown hair) was NOT friendly at all. We are in the South! Oklahoma! Come on! The room was spacious and decorated nicely. However, the black in between the tiles is gross. The shower had some kind of black spots along parts of the caulked area. The breakfast was kind of gross. There were still 30 minutes remaining and it looked like the effort to keep the food stocked had ended. The coffee was out, the table where the coffee was hadn’t been wiped up. They were running out of bread, the oatmeal container had already been taken back to the kitchen for cleaning. The bill scrambled eggs were in lumps and the sausage was dripping with grease. I’m a platinum Marriott member. This is not acceptable. Looks like we will try Courtyard next and hopefully it will be nicer.
