Biggest lack for me, is no microwaves in the rooms.

I stayed here two nights in Oct 2019, because it was close to La Guardia airport. Biggest complaint about this hotel is they do not provide microwaves in the rooms. I "cooked" two dinners in my room both nights I stayed in room 15 on 1st floor. I have to take elevator (I was at furthest end of the hall) to "concourse" floor, and use the one microwave in the breakfast area. If they do not want to buy microwave for every room, at least put one on each floor where the ice machine was. They do have a small fridge in the room.
A little coffee maker was provided, but my room had no cups at the coffee maker or anywhere else in the room including the bathroom, so I had to call for cups. I made tea in the coffee maker, but when my tea got cold, I have to go to elevator and wait for it, to bring the cup downstairs and put in microwave, and do this trip several times, back and forth, meaning I am missing my TV programming for the time this takes.
Room was clean, but bathroom sink and counter is sooo tiny with poor lighting, there is not even a place to put your toiletry bag.
Bed was comfortable. My room 15 was at the corner and faced the street, but it was quiet.
Carpet in the hall was soooo dirty and gross at the elevator, full of stains and black, and also more spills down the hall. They need carpet cleaning badly.
Also exterior of hotel, full of trash on the side, by the parking entrance, wrappers, corn cobs, litter, cups, I found package of Cheetos there and ate them!
Area is seedy, I was afraid to go to my car at night. I come from Scottsdale, AZ, I am not used to areas where everyone on the street is non-white, wearing dreadlocks, and yelling obscenities like f**king, f---, f---, is the only words they can seem to speak to each other.
Breakfast was mediocre. I guess it was better than "continental", nothing but carbs and sweets. The scrambled eggs was surely poured from a carton, then baked dry, not cracked REAL eggs and then scrambled. Turkey sausage was good, but you had to get them as soon as the girl replenishes, otherwise they get hard and dried up real fast. Eggs and sausage, the only "hot" food, rest is the usual dry cereal, bagels, muffins, oatmeal packets, some apples and oranges, and juice and coffee.
Staff is polite and nice, and they sell frozen food behind the counter, help you with a subway map. Oh, this is the ubiquitous "Indian" managed hotel. Funny how certain ethnicities like certain business, like Vietnamese women like hairdressing.
Recommend! Would stay again!

Recommend! Would stay again! The hotel is nice and quiet. The rooms are in great condition. The staff was friendly. The respected our do not disturb sign and did not enter our room the entire stay. Bed was very comfortable! The only thing was the towels and sheets had hair on them.

Arriving here by Subway is not simple, as you are about 5 blocks away. Upon arrival, room #1 had no working lights in the bathroom. Room #2 had no mirror light, and the nore pad in the room had writing on it from the previous guest. Room #3 did not have a working mirror light either. Room #4 had working lights, but the seal on the mini fridge does not seal at the top. Parth was the front desk agent, and he was super nice and helpful. When I spoke to the manager the next morning, I explained that someone should have communicated with the front desk about the rooms not having working fixtures. He blamed the clerk for being new, and said he would train him. (Pretty sure the clerk would not choose to put a guest in a non working room). For the price, I was not at all impressed. It is right across from Bronx Terminal Mall, but nothing is convenient to the location. Walking anywhere was a safety concern. The desk clerk is behind a glass case.

Nice location and reasonable rate

Great location for a Yankees game, appears to be recently renovated, reasonable rate, friendly staff, close to the subway for moving around the city would definetly stay at this location again, not many onsite parking spaces, but you can find street parking ..... one thing that needs work id the breakfast offering.
